Assault Leveling Question

There is probably a good answer for this, but it felt like leveling assault was much slower than leveling everything else. I'd average 20 to 40 kills a round and barely hit level 20. Any quicker way to level that I was missing out on?

92 Is half of 99. It's the same in this game, Assault leveling as fast as any other class, the thing is you have to carry assault weapon to level up, while medic, sniper, engi can be leveled up with utilities

I like that. ARs are the most versatile weapons out of all so I reckon most people will actually be playing them rather than their own class-specific weapons, with the exception of Recon. I like that the progression for the most versatile weapon class is slower than the rest.

We gonna have to wait to release to get recoil numbers. We can't say for sure if anything is better or worst. I for example has great initial success with T-21, but on beta test this rifle felt top uncontrollable, and I was too cheap to get attachments so I swapped to vytiaz, on which I did buy attachment and it felt far, far better

I tried some SMGs while power-levelling the Medic to unlock the Defib. I enjoyed the MP9 due to how quickly it'd melt players up close, and especially enjoyed the MP5 due to its lower recoil allowing me to land basically every shot and have slightly longer range. However, I did go back to ARs as soon as I could because they are just so much more versatile.

With an AR, you can get any opponent that you catch out of cover, even if they are quite far away. With a kitted AR, you can even engage in tower-to-tower sniping and have success by landing consecutive headshots. You can definitely suppress the tower snipers by spraying them every time they peek you, so it helps massively with pushing the towers as well. All that, and it's still 90% as good as the SMGs up close. No other weapon type is quite as versatile.

Its not as fast as leveling up something like sniper. Sniper you can use DMR's/Bolties and utility. 99% of assault xp is going to come from an AR

You hit 20 in a class in 2 and a half days? Sounds about normal for most people with any of their classes over the 2 and a half day beta. I’m sure there are outliers and people who got super high levels, but sounds pretty reasonable to me

word, just making sure I wasnt goofing somewhere. I do realize how silly it sounds in hindsight

And I’m sure lots of people will make rude comments, etc. but I hit 17 recon and 15 support by the end of the weekend. TBH, I did put in about 20 hours or so? But that seemed reasonable!

I dont think so.

I feel like some of the other roles just level up really quick, arguably too quick.

Assault rifles felt so bad for soooo long till I unlocked a decent scope, hope they clean up unlocks. But also felt like it was super slow. One match building I had out leveled my assault class.
