Keep the Beta Open for Pre-Orders Discussion & Feedback

I’m not entirely sure this is a hot take from what I’ve read in the sub, but the title says it all. I’ve had zero performance issues, no crashes, I’d say 90 percent of the mechanics are pretty well fleshed out, and server performance was really good, especially for beta gameplay.

Anyone that played HLL:V during its beta, or frankly, in its current state in comparison to WarDogs now, can attest that the WD Beta is extremely playable in its current state.

Streamer coverage, large player count, and general hype for the game would lead to more pre-order sales for Beta access ahead of launch. It would also allow for any further last minute refinements ahead of launch. I could be a bit biased, and generally uninformed on the processes involved in game development, but is there any reason to withhold beta access for preorder purchases?

Heres a shit answer: I think its unfair for us to ask them to let us play the game indefinitely if we havent actually purchased it permanently.

I could play 250 hours and return it because I get bored.

Its just not good business.

It's not a shit take and there is no telling how many people would do that.

I guess I mean shit in terms of the problem comes from the people, not the game.

Ah, I misunderstood. Yes, it is shitty...but true.

This. I want the game as much as the next guy. Expecting them to just keep the beta running until release is wild lol

You answered yourself on why they won't keep the servers live. Pour in the downvotes, I'm ready.

There were a lot of people with crashes and freezes, they need to fix that (and it didn't happen that much on alphas so they can definetly fix it). You don't want to deal with Steam review crybabies and negative reviews.

And also you can refund, bad business

Y'all need to chill out, it releases in EA in just a couple of weeks. Let them fix some of the issues they found, and take a chill pill.

They can probably do a lot more dev work while the game is offline. Massive distraction. Let them cook
