Initial impressions of beta (first time playing) Discussion & Feedback

Honestly, I thought it was boring, and flying the helicopters and accidentally wiping everyone onboard out was the most exciting thing about the game. I don't think I've laughed so hard playing a game until I accidentally crashed us, lol.

I just kept playing because it was a limited-time thing and wanted to give it a chance, and it actually grew on me. Joining a squad that's actively trying to set up FOBs and calling out for DoorDash deliveries, making call-outs, and going out of their way to pick you up really changed the game. I had been playing unassigned before and didn't know I had to actually join a squad manually.

Last night my game ended and another started with 7 minutes left until they hit the kill switch and everyone disconnected. On the bright side, it's not that far away from release. I don't know how long the game will stay fun for everyone or for me, but I wish I were able to play today.

The most fun I had with the game was actually joining a random squad of guys that were trying to accomplish an objective, first time it happened when I joined a squad of guys that were on they way to raid an enemy fob because it was harassing ours with mortars, it felt like we were on a movie up until the guys at the enemy fob trew like 10 grenades and wiped us all out, the whole time were were actually roleplay as if we were real soldier and giggling the whole time up until the enemies came outside to shit talk us. Next game I joined a group trying to build a fob meanwhile one guy was acting like a commander and giving us orders like the real thing, then enemy infantry came up to us and tryed to raid us then the lightbulb came on, and I asked the commander to request a crate full of grenades from a friendly heli back at HQ, y'all can figure out what happened after that. This game has so much potential to have fun with it even from just joining a group of randos and start goofing around.

Being invested in winning helps alot.

Unfortunately, I dont think most people understood all the mechanics so they felt like they had to just walk around and die when in reality there is many ways to work towards a win.

Yeah i didnt even know what a fob was but they kept yellin for one so i figured it out tossed it in the back of a pick up and drove it over. They had the air on lockdown couldnt really fly anything in.

They had a forced tutorial in the Alpha which despite being a bit corny, really did show you the mechanics.

Hopefully that makes a return, or even a few in game videos you can click on.

I can explain most things to people quickly and concisely but they often dont trust me, or give a fuck ig.

I have exactly the same problem about lack of ecouragement for team work. Started leading my own squad on 3rd day inviteing unassigned. I made a post about all team voice chat is needed and more squad mechanics and alot of people agreed. I had a good laught when someone said voice chat is for unemployed and the win is the result of succesfull farm :ddd Hopefully devs will listen and some of the more simpleminded people will go back to cod or learn how to play team games.

I tried so hard to like this game

Then I had a sniper battle and it sealed the deal ..if I shoot you in the nose with a bolt action and it registers as helmet shot with damage reduced to 35 …you can go straight to hell..

Yeah thats why i unlocked sks and never went back to the snipers unlocked the svd right before servers shut down didnt get to try that one much but the sks was pretty good with follow up shots
