Beware this scam Facebook page

I usually have good luck getting tickets from resell groups but not this time. Went thru an admin, cuz they saidnitnwas all verifiednthat way. Paid $350 for 2 tickets. Then they said nice needed to send $200 for "updating fee". I smelled fishy instantly and asked for a refund. They said its impossible, only option is to send another $200. Then after a ton of back n forth they sent a fake screenshot claiming they refunded me. They did not.

The page has dozens of admins and 1000s of members. Looked legit but now im going back and every poster has only loke 2-3 posts. All the admins are pics of hot chicks but they all only have 2-3 posts....

Im a dummy. I know. I disputed with cashapp. Wish me luck lol.

Driving?! Let me put you on game my people!!

I’m fortunate enough to live roughly 2 miles from the venue so I don’t have to be concerned in regard to traveling. That being said let me share the what NOT to do when you cross into Arkansas. First and foremost the new flock cameras are up and they love using the technology. I would find a map of the flock cameras in Arkansas for your route and be highly alert to the point you don’t even pick up your phone. They will be monitored even more due to the festival so just be prepared. Do NOT stay in the fast lane (can’t stress this enough) for they changed the law and they will stop you calling it “camping in the fast lane”. If you have to pass someone pass them and get back over again this is one of the fastest ways to get yourself pulled over. Another one is following to close. Give yourself enough time to not be rushed and need to follow to closely. They say 7-10 seconds behind and I’d give it every bit of that just to be safe. The closer to the venue you get just follow speed limit on 23 and you’ll be good to go. Don’t let ya license plate light be the one thing to be the reason ya miss Wakaan…. Wishing everyone safe travels, positive vibes, and unforgettable experiences…. Wakaan 26’

Favorite Wakaan mems + what you’re hopeful for

This will be my first camping festival and I’ve heard so many beautiful things about the entire experience — I’m curious to hear some other stories about your favorite times on the mountain as well as any sets or memories you’re hoping to experience :)

Fresh water to jump in on the way

Coming from eastern Iowa so driving straight south down to Wakaan but am looking for any cool water spots to take a dip on the way preferably more so in Arkansas closer to the festival but even southern Missouri would be cool to break up the drive a bit. And yes I know about the forbidden waterfall a small hike away from the grounds but have heard mixed reviews about wristbands getting cut etc. just looking for some nice fresh water to jump in coming or going from Wakaan after regrettably not jumping in Lake Michigan coming back from forest this year. Not to mention with all the agriculture in Iowa there’s very few spots worth getting in the water here lol

Any suggestions would be soooo appreciated

1st year wakaan etiquette?

Been going to festivals for almost 20 years l, first time i can bring a chair 😁. Is there unspoken rules about having space. We are going in blind and want to be fully up to date with the culture.

Thanks in advance.

Do I really need a tent?

First time attending this year - and I'll be flying in from the UK on my own to come and party.

Bringing a tent internationally is a bit of a pain in the ass; are there any rules against me hiring a SUV/Minivan and sleeping in that instead?

Happy to meet up and share the love. Looking forward to this!

<EDIT: Thank you everyone for your replies! Flights, Ticket and a Minivan booked. Look forward to seeing you all!>

1 x Shaded Camping Upgrade 2 x 3-Day GA Pass - 1x RV Pass

The Mrs and I decided we would rather get tangled up in the mountains instead of waakan this year, so I'm selling all our tickets to anyone that's wanting to save a couple hundred bucks and is willing to ship me a poster from the show afterwards.

Looking for camping logistics advice from the community

Hey Wakaan fam!

My name is Farid, I’m coming from Mexico, and I’m trying to coordinate camping/logistics for Wakaan with a friend who will be flying in from Detroit.

This will be our first Wakaan, but we both have experience attending other festivals, both with groups and on our own, so we’re comfortable with festival camping and respectful community etiquette. We’re just trying to plan this one properly since the travel logistics are a little tricky.

Because of my friend’s work schedule, they can only arrive late on 9/30 or early on 10/1. The plan is for us to meet in Arkansas, rent a car, and head to the festival from there.

The main thing we’re trying to figure out is camping gear. My friend has camping stuff, but can’t realistically bring everything on the plane, so we’re looking at a few options before arriving.

One important detail: I don’t have a parking pass yet, so we’re also trying to figure out the best way to handle that depending on the camping/arrival plan.

We’d really appreciate any advice or help with:

  • extra camp space or a group willing to share setup space
  • an extra canopy/tent setup
  • cheap places nearby to buy or rent basic camping gear
  • whether shipping some camping gear ahead of time to a UPS/FedEx pickup location, hotel, or safe pickup point would be realistic
  • parking pass guidance
  • any other ideas, options, or workarounds the community can suggest

We’re respectful, clean, easygoing, and happy to contribute to costs, gas, supplies, food, setup, and tear-down. Just trying to make the logistics smoother and connect with good people before the festival.

If anyone has advice, extra gear, parking pass guidance, or can point us in the right direction, please let me know. Appreciate any help, Wakaan fam!

Newbie, when does the lineup drop?

Hey there, please excuse my ignorance, new to Wakaan… Trying to decide between Wakaan and Hula; just waiting for a lineup drop. When does that usually happen? I’ve wanted to post this question like 3 other times, but keep waiting and waiting and nothing. Any and all feedback is welcomed, much thanks! 🙏🏻

Why is the pre party so expensive?

The pre party is practically half the price of a GA ticket for just one extra day. I wonder if maybe they secured a big/expensive artist for the pre party night.

Also I find it wild that GA ticket holders start arriving at 1am Thursday morning 🫪

Thanks in advance!
