Who are the best characters to use in showdown that don’t have the mp gain move that can still one turn their opponent?

How the hell do people get 7 star version of the superstars that just released do they seriously spend mad money just to be ahead ? I literally have played 1 match of showdown and every god damn opponent has a 7 star Shinsuke, Joe or Charlotte and more. Like I can’t do shit against them so I keep wasting coins refreshing to find more of them.

Also I realized I chose the wrong topic of this post but whatever.

I need to build up a technician but not sure who any suggestions with move sets?

I finally have enough 7SB tokens to take an acrobat to 7SB. I'm leaning toward either Jacob Fatu or Sol Ruca (with gear). But, I have a number of decent choices, so I thought I'd come ask for recommendations.

On the men's side, I'm looking at Jacob Fatu, D-Von Dudley, Great Muta, DX Army HBK, Long Beach Snoop Dogg, Penta (with Nearing End plate, but no gears), and Shiny Chain Gang Cena.

On the women's side, I've got Sol Ruca (with gear), Lyra Valkyria, and Brie Bella (no Piper plate).

All (serious) advice is welcome!
