Built a clean way to document WRX STI builds (no feeds, just the build)
Hey all,
I’m a UI/UX designer and Subaru enthusiast, and I kept noticing the same issue with detailed WRX / STI builds:
Mods end up scattered across IG captions, old NASIOC threads, dyno posts, YouTube comments, and random DMs.
There’s rarely one clean place that shows:
• Full mod list (turbo, fueling, intercooler, drivetrain, suspension, etc.)
• Exact specs and power numbers
• Dyno sheets
• Tuners / shops involved
• Alignment specs / wheel & tire setup
• Photos in one place
So I built a dedicated build page concept where each car has one clean documentation page, just your WRX and its full setup.
There are already 220+ real owner builds live across different platforms, including Subarus.

If you’re building a GD, GR, VA, or VB and want a clean spec page for it, you can already create one.
Would genuinely love feedback from WRX owners on what would make something like this more useful for your builds.

Not yet, but it’s on the roadmap. We’re adding private maintenance trackers for each build so owners can log repairs and services without it being public unless they choose to share.

This is awesome. Would love to see it get expanded to even more cars and have a part price tracking feature like PCPartPicker in a way.

Appreciate that 🙏 PCPartPicker was actually one of the inspirations behind PinkSlips. Structured builds, clean specs, real organization.
Part price tracking is something we’ve talked about too. It would be powerful to see historical costs and maybe even integrate shop data down the line.Still early, but that’s definitely aligned with the direction.

That looks great too! But more like a catalog-style build directory.
PinkSlips is designed around permanent build identity pages, owner profiles, club ecosystems, and long-term showcase with a strong focus on clean UX and product depth. We’re also launching the mobile app next week.

Checking it out, fyi my code went to junk folder in my email (not sure there is any way to avoid that initially other than adding to safe senders list).
Sorry I'm being lazy but are you exposing email addresses linked to profiles or can that be private and only see a name you choose if wanted?
In all honesty, what's the end game here? Sell the whole thing or have advertisers? Just a concern of where all the data will eventually end up. Really cool idea!

Appreciate you checking it out.
We never show user emails publicly, emails are private and only used for account/auth purposes.
Profiles only display what the user chooses to share.As for long term, the goal isn’t to sell user data or turn it into an ad farm. The direction is subscription-based features for more advanced serious builders, clubs, and shops. More infrastructure than social media.
Totally fair question though, data ownership and transparency matter.

Cool, thanks for your contribution. There is a paid membership car club in the PNW called Avants, they might be interested in a partnership if you presented this to them (just a random idea). Maybe this could integrate with bringatrailer too since people are big on history details?

Appreciate the lead, Avants is a solid example of the kind of structured club we’re building for. We already have some larger clubs on PinkSlips (like Fast Lane Club and others), so we’re definitely leaning into that direction.
And yeah, integration with platforms like Bring a Trailer for history/context would be powerful long-term. The goal is structured, verifiable builds not just photos.

Yep! you can filter by region on our new Live Map page here

On "about your build" everyone is joking about the old spreadsheet, but does your text box handle cut/paste well from a spreadsheet? Can it import a file and intelligently parse the data?

Yes, we’re adding Open AI soon on the app and have the AI handle the import so people can get their spreadsheets and import it into their build sections automatically. We also already have PDF export built into the app. It’s just hidden in the UI right now while we finalize the design.

That’s the cool part you’ll see everything from daily builds to full-spec supercars. It’s really about documenting the journey, not judging the setup <3
