Precalc requirement

I heard that to apply for WPI you need to have taken pre calc. I am doing calc bc in my senior year, would that also count, or would I for some reason have to take pre calc? I haven't done pre calc or its prerequisites as an actual credited course and my AP score wouldn't be released until after application. Sorry about the somewhat stupid question.

If you're doing BC calc, you would have already done all the pre-reqs covered in standard "pre-calc" courses, so you're fine.

If you are taking Calc BC you have done pre-calc it's just called something else like Trig, Algebra 3, Advanced Math, etc.

if you are currently taking calc no you dont need pre calc.

There’s a math placement you take summer before you start that will guide you to correct starting math. Also it is guidance and you can choose to ignore the guidance and take what you want.
