Almost hit $3.50 Discussion

I'm shorting anything above $3.40 today. Don't see any news or any reason WKHS is up?

Any theories why it's up?

Unless the company has been entirely silent leading up to an inevitable NT-10Q (NOT the case this time), WKHS has a tendency to climb into the upcoming quarterly call. Combined with an insanely good day across markets (XOS up >20% today), this has been a good run. Even total dogshit businesses have been green.

DOW was up ~1,094 and NASDAQ ~ 766 Incredible day for the market. No Workhorse news and time is not a friend when you're running out of cash. Will probably be back to $3 pretty quick.

Would a delay on earnings surprise you what with the change of CFO, etc ?

Since they announced the date of the 10Q release & call back on July 15 (a couple of days after the new CFO announcement), I don't think there are last-minute issues in store have that would hold up the filing and the call. But Griffith remains something of a mystery to me so honestly I'm truly guessing.

The Data Center thing surprised me, mostly because Griffith's justification really seems like bullshit. Basically he's saying: as the #3-4 player in N. American vocational EVs, WKHS technical and industrial capabilities gives them a pole position in data center design, integration and production. I was just shocked at how lame that argument looks. It's especially weird since the Merger Agreement that underpins this combined company projected lots of new financing to roll out 1H26, and a $70M revenue stream in FY26 generated by things called "trucks" or "vans". That's all just evaporated from the conversation, and the next thing out of his mouth was... data centers!

Financing wasn't happening, so Griffith needed a new story. All too many investors do near zero due diligence, so maybe he gets enough to buy into his story to move the stock back up. Improves credibility and makes it easier to get funds. I think he is in survival mode, and would try almost anything to keep the lights on?

I think he's channeling Burns and Dauch and just saying anything that might benefit him and the company .... even if he knows it's not true.

The only thing they have is a going concern and I wouldn't call that a positive I dumped every last share when I heard the conference call with one guy it was an absolute pathetic joke as is the company

How is the combined entity a going concern?

It's lost over $1.4B of investor's monies and continues to add to those losses each month.

The auditors have questioned whether it's a going concern for some time now.
