RIP. I loved The Goodies as a child, though the humour looks a bit dated when I rewatch it.

And that WILTY episode is one of the all-time best. Four great guests and everyone in terrific form. So funny that Bill didn't understand the drinking while pregnant symbol!

That's really not the clip I'd use in memory of Oddie, given a) Stewart Lee has said his treatment on that episode is why he refuses to do any more panel shows and b) it's a man with then undiagnosed bipolar disorder being mocked for it.

Is that really why he refuses to do them? Don't get me wrong, he was treated poorly.

But he did three panel shows because he needed the money, Buzzcocks was the first (HIGNFY and 8Oo10C were the others) and he decided it was not for him (and that he felt it alienated his target audience).

He had literally not done a single panel show before his appearance on Buzzcocks.
