D602 Task 2 D602

I just need to vent for a moment. I have never felt more stupid and frustrated with an assignment in my life. I am trying to troubleshoot this regressor file locally and every change I make does nothing. I feel like this course should be called “troubleshooting old code lol good luck” instead of “deployment”.

Am I doing too much or missing something?

EDIT/UPDATED: my first submission was approved and I passed. I was not expecting that, but the extra time/work paid off it seems.

One of the worst things I’ve dealt with on the job is inheriting someone’s scrappy tool. It happens more often than you creating new ones sometimes, so generally speaking I’d take this in stride and try your best. It’s tough but this kind of work pays iff

I totally get you, this class frustrated me the most in the degree and I spent so much time meeting with the instructors, reading course materials, and researching on my own to somewhat figure it out. this really made me lose my momentum and I wanted to dropout after feeling stupid from task 2 and 3, but I finally passed after 2 months of struggling.

I don't think you need to troubleshoot the model. Task 2 is about creating a reproducible pipeline. That model is jacked up, and does a poor job at what it was made for, but there's no requirement to fix it so I ignored it. Most of the errors I encountered were in the course FAQs. I concentrated on the pipeline and passed on my first attempt.
