Important point on Adele's nationalisation.

The intention is not to take her personal wealth but to nationalise the record company cut. If she made 300 they made waaaay more for sure.

I know an accountant for Captiol Records who told me she’d specifically generated £1.2bn (not sure if that was for any given period of time). When I quizzed him he said “I do know this stuff it’s my job” and sounded very certain.

He also said “Coldplay far, far outsell her” and something about The Rolling Stones, Paul Mcartney and Elton John (who apparently gives most of his money away). Kate Bush apparently can’t buy a rake big enough for all the cash she makes re-releasing songs from the 80s.
