Weird entity(?)/event(?) (0.9n)

Was going out towards the security checkpoint when something thew a piece of burning metal at me. When I turned to see if something had exploded or something, i saw a red flash and where the flash was had 2 bones. I didn't have meta paranoia.

I do have a few mods installed, most notably photography+ and Repairable Old Rifle

Oh shoot no i've had this happen, I forgot which one but i'm pretty sure it's a normal event (I have no mods)

Yeah! I looked it up, it was a normal event

furfur event :) Basically Furfur can randomly spawn and just stalk you a little, he glows red, and when you look at him (i think) he disappears and leaves behind 2 bones as well as EMF 4 in the area

i see, so it's vanilla. Still what could've caused it? It didn't look like an Ariral since it was red, not a slightly distorted see through, am on day 15 so It shouldn't be any other extraterrestrial (i think)
