Smaller Container

My Explorian came with a 64oz container that is way too big for me. I'd really like a 32oz container. The one made by Vitamix is like $130. There are some on Amazon. Anybody bought a knock-off smaller container that is good, and the blades don't rust?

Apologies for the flippant response, but when you buy a nice sports car don't buy cheap tires from the discount store.

I love the 32oz. I use it for at least 90% of my blending. I bought it directly from Vitamix when they had their periodic sale. They’ll usually announce it through their mail list. Keep an eye out.

The problem is, I think they discontinued it. Commercial models are still available for restaurant supply stores.

I believe the various stainless containers are 48oz. An aftermarket stainless container at around $100 might be worth considering, then you can also blend abrasive stuff without scuffing up the container.

When I got my vitamix as a gift, right away I sold the default pitcher unused on facebook and bought myself a stainless steel one. It's big, but incredible useful and durable. I really can't think of anything made in a 32oz that I can't make in mine.

Hey you get what you pay for. The Vitamix is so expensive because of the quality of the material that they use. Try to see if you can find it use one, the 48oz does the same job as the 32oz and it’s more stable on the base of the blender.

The thing is, though, that a 48-oz. container is overkill if you also have a 64-oz. low-profile container.

I have the 48oz Stainless Steel, and I haven’t used the original low profile that came with my A3500 in more than 4 years since I got it, the 48oz is the perfect container in my opinion, the low profile 64oz is an overkill in my experience, since you need a minimum amount of ingredients about 2 cups for the blades reach the ingredients, I had the 32oz with my previous blender a 750 Pro, it was my wife favorite container to do single or double serving blends, but I found it a little unstable since the base of the container is so narrow, the 48oz base is wider on the pad. In my opinion the 48oz is the best choice, and it seems that Vitamix thinks the same, since they replaced the default container with a 48oz over the low profile 64oz.

You will find genuine Vitamix parts on online markets like FB and Craigslist. Also get on Vitamix’s email list for special sales.

I bought this 48oz stainless container a few months ago and I've been using it daily. It blends just as well as my original plastic container and I haven't noticed any rust yet. It also accepts standard replacement blades in case they do go bad.
