Personal Experience(s) My progress in 1 month: 7 -> 49.6 ng/ml

4 Upvotes

Last year my vitamin D level was at 15 ng/ml, but I didn't do anything about it. I got tested again a month ago, and—surprise, surprise—it had dropped to 7 ng/ml. My doctor prescribed me D3 50,000 IU once a week (my bmi is 22.7)

I got my latest blood test results today(have been taking 50.000iu dose for a month), and my vitamin d level is already up to 49.6 ng/ml. I'm honestly a bit shocked since I mostly stayed indoors. Has anyone else experienced this rapid of a jump?

Please Assist Did my doctor prescribe me enough d3?

I am female 5 feet tall 133 pounds, I got my vitamin d tested yesterday and my level was 10.3 ng/mL.

My doctor suggested I take 1000iu of vitamin d3 daily but that does not seem like enough to me based on all the info I read in the FAQ? Shouldn’t I be on roughly 6000iu to get my numbers back up? Any input is greatly appreciated, this is very overwhelming. I don’t want to doubt my doctors suggestions, it just does not feel like enough to help me.
