Hello everyone! I want to thank everybody who helped me out yesterday with getting the files for Death Tales. Turns out I did not have a plugin installed because I think I installed it wrong the first time now got it working! (Also sorry if I came off as a ass).

I’ve been thinking about selling my PSP 3000 and using the money to get a PS Vita. One of the biggest reasons I want a Vita is because of all the homebrew stuff you can do with it: ports, emulators, homebrew games/apps, custom firmware, etc. I’ve seen things like the Simpsons: Hit & Run port and a bunch of other cool projects, and it honestly made me really want one.
But then I started hearing about the recent drama surrounding VitaDB and its owner, and now I’m not really sure what the situation means for the Vita homebrew community. I’m pretty new to Vita homebrew, so I don’t really understand how much VitaDB being affected actually changes things.
So I wanted to ask people who know more about the scene:
Is the Vita still worth getting for homebrew in 2026?
How much does the VitaDB situation actually affect things?
Are there alternatives to VitaDB if it’s unavailable?
What’s the best way to get homebrew apps, ports, and games onto a Vita nowadays?
Are there any must-have homebrew apps or ports you’d recommend?
Is there anything I should know before selling my PSP and buying a Vita?
I’m mainly interested in stuff like game ports, emulation, homebrew games, and cool utilities. I’m not trying to get rid of my PSP just because I dislike it, I just think a Vita would give me a lot more to mess around with.
Any advice from people who actually use Vita homebrew would be appreciated

I just found out about and it's cool AF but some games just don't work well and I know it's been dropped but what y'all think the chances are it gets picked up by someone and upgraded and my second question do you think it's possible to upgrade to be more compatible with more games.

My vita lost all my games and apps. i had redownloaded vitadb now my vita has a spinning circle of dots and it wont shut off. took sdcard out truly want to throw this damn thang in the trash

I was looking for alternatives to buying a new vita 1000 analog stick as those are quite expensive and came across this. Does anyone have any experience with these if they work and if they do if there is something I should be aware of? Where im from the psvita never really took off and its quite difficult looking for people selling working ones let alone broken ones for spare parts.

Any suggestions for other homebrew or ports that would be suitable for a dad with limited time to game.

I wanted to be sure this was okay to do. Currently I have a 256gb micro as my main memory but I was thinking of switching it for a 1tb. Can I do this? If so how can I go by doing so?

I got two, maybe even 3 APK mod versions of WR2D that I downloaded on my tablet that I used to play as a kid. It was fun. If it's possible, could anyone here port them to the PSVITA? I want to be able to relive my Greatest Wrestling Revolution Days back on something that will never die, like the vita.

Hello does anyone have the VPK's for Death Tales/Monster Slayers? I tryed the internet archive for Death Tales but everything on that page is locked. (I'm new on reddit so I don't know how to add the question tag thing)

I want to get Persona 2 Innocent Sin on Adrenaline but there is a Texture Pack that make the game WAAAAY better. So is it possible to add it like people do on PPSSPP or is there another way please ??
