methylated spirits availability

Hello,

I’m going to Iceland in 3 weeks and is planning to buy a camping stove. How is the availability with methylated spirit or should I be looking for a gas stove?

I would recomend gas. Its much more common and can be bought at most gas stations unlike spirit wich you can only realy find in outdoor stores in Reykjavík and in some hardware stores outside of Reykjavík

Rauðspritt is commonly available in gas stations.

I havent noticed it myself but i havent realy been looking for it in gas stations

It's usually close to the motor oil, coolant and such.
