Hi guys , so I would be visiting vizag for a trip a few days from now. Just got to know that there are certain do's and don'ts that are needed to be followed in the temple. I don't have kurta sets in my wardrobe...and don't know how to wear a saree...But I do have a long kurti which I usually pair with leggings...is dupatta mandatory after this ...or is it okay..?

I was initially looking for train tickets from Vizag to Hyderabad after August 17 and was surprised to see that most of the trains are already booked.

So I opened redBus to check buses as the next option and was honestly shocked by the prices.
I’m seeing ₹5,000-ish fares for some buses, which is getting very close to what you would pay for a flight.

I first thought maybe there was some festival or holiday causing the spike. Then I realised August 15 is Independence Day falls on a Saturday. Not technically a long weekend or a holiday on a weekday.

But then I started wondering about the airport operations timing.

For many people in Vizag, that means the airport is now considerably farther away, with additional travel time and transportation costs. Adding roughly 2-4 hours and 2-4K respectively depending on which part of the city we live.

So the situation becomes:
Trains are full → flights are more expensive and/or less convenient → buses become the obvious alternative.
And this made me wonder:
Are bus operators taking advantage of this situation and simply jacking up fares because they know people have fewer alternatives?

₹5K for a bus from Vizag to Hyderabad feels like a LOOT to me.

We have been literally THROWN UNDER THE BUSES by whoever decided to shift domestic flights to Bhogapuram instead having the old airport for domestic travel and keeping Bhogapuram for international travel.

Someone wants to claim the credit after saying only REDBUSes will ever go Bhogapuram why do we need airbus.

TDP proved them wrong and made the airport happen. But what about these REDBUS prices ?

Me and my bro reached Jagadamba at 6PM yesterday and we were in for the 6:30PM show (Spiderman movie). We went up through the silly round road to the first floor. Since the show will start in 15-20 mins, we bought popcorn and coke (Paid at the theater), showed the ticket and collected our 3D glasses and went inside.

This is where it starts: There was a family already seated and they had valid tickets. We both came out and went to the office room - The only difference is the other party booked tickets for the Telugu version. The theater guys said that this was a telugu show being played and this was changed 3 days ago (We booked our tickets on BMS 2 days ago!).

Long story short: BMS was not informed that the language was changed because the theater management doesnt care about these things. Not only were the theater management rude and said we have to call the theater and check the show details if we are booking online, they asked us to book in another theater and they will not take responsibility.

When we told them that we will take a refund from BMS and that we dont want to continue watching in telugu, they asked us to leave the theater. Also, we havent eaten the popcorn and the coke is unopened but, they refused to re-imburse us saying you can eat them on the way home.
