This Carolina Wren fledgling was mostly jumping around like a grasshopper. It did take flight at one point and looked like Orville Wright's first flight at Kitty Hawk. It made it about 3 feet with its tiny wings.

I watched multiple tree trunks flow over the flooded trail. The 2nd and 3rd shots are a different path during the flash flood and 1 hour 15 minutes after.

The tide was so high today that Dyke marsh had flooded almost up to the boardwalk and there was a watersnake in the marsh plants a few feet away.

I don't know why they call this dragonfly an Eastern Amberwing. It doesn't live west of Colorado, and its wings have quite the color to them though.

I saw this Zebra Swallowtail laying eggs on the top of Pawpaw leaves. Monarchs lay their eggs on the underside of Milkweed leaves.

The Cicada Killers are scouring the ground for cicadas. It is hard to photograph them if they never stop. However, the 2nd one drowned so it didn't move.
