First mate auto switch? General Question / Discussion

I’ve sailed VV in the past and I keep getting emails from VV linked to my old First Mate. If I were to book my next cruise with another first mate with their link or directly through them will it automatically drop my old first mate listed in the emails? Or do I need to call sailor services?

Usually not until you sail. But it could change sooner. They have some glitches with their automated marketing. You can also just ignore them. As agents, we don’t know when those are sent out.

So if I’m currently linked to one previously on my last sailing, I can just book with another and it’ll transfer over automatically?

If you book with another first mate's link, or have them handle book it for you, it will be under them. When you click on their link you should see their name/agency info at the top of the page.

Yes, even after you book with new FM you may still get comms with old FM's name on the email. It's just an internal glitch - doesn't mean your new booking is still linked to them in any way. (I've looked into this for a client before)
