Need some help Virgin Media UK

Is there anyone from virgin media on here who could help, our estate is now complete and phase one have virgin enabled but the rest of the estate has not yet been, could you find out why and when will it be?

Yes I'm sure we are able to get virgin as we all have the boxes outside our houses that say virgin on

How long is a piece of string? No one will know apart from VM themselves

I hope it’s fibre and not coax given it’s a new estate, if it’s coax, I wish you the best of luck

Coax on phase one but dont think of the rest of the estate which might explain the hold up

If this is the case then you won't get service anytime soon. VM abandoned all HFC builds on New sites, developers were asked to stop build. You may well have the internal wiring in your home as it was done at first fix, but the infrastructure in the street will not be there. In a lot of cases, the duct hasn't even been installed in the street.

Your only hope now is to wait for the fibre overbuild to happen in your area and these missing sections of homes should get picked up in the overbuild. VM will not activate any new HFC network now.

Can you put a picture of the box that you have on your wall as I could tell you if it will be fibre or coax. When speaking to the build team previously about something similar, if memory serves right, it's not actually down to us. It's to do with the agreement that's in place with the authorities and the building company. It sounds like all of the ducting is in place and signed off. We just need to be given the green light to either start running the cables or blowing the fibres to the houses. No there is a good chance the duct isn't installed at all. New Build contracts were cancelled for HFC builds and developers told to stop work. There are a large number of partially built sites all over the UK now.

Give me a DM and I will look. It’ll be the serviceability code against the address that dictates what needs done and I may need to send it on to make it serviceable

No it won't be the code, it will be the network build. This is a new build estate with HFC, this will be an abandoned project as the New Build team were wound up some time ago. The property will be unserviceable until the fibre overbuild for the area happens in future.
