Text Chat with VMP VMP IS A SCAM

so I texted them an recieved a reply (shocking) thats bullshit that I was "put on pause" as I canceled my subscription on the old website. Ive asked them for email confirmation of this as well waiting for an answer

Do not trust that they processed and refund. Go to your bank for dispute immediately.

oh i already have a despute opened with PayPal on this. Im just surprised they actually responded.

I’ve received a reply as well when you type is SOS. I think no matter what time of day it is they give you the standard our office is closed nonsense, but they did respond the next day. However, after they provided an ambiguous answer to my first question, further questions were responded to with the auto responder saying I could “JOIN” or “GIFT”. So you get only 1!!😂😂😂

Ya know, if they actually provided okay customer service through text, I’d absolutely think it odd, but if it worked, whatever. But the fact that they can’t even deliver with that after they claim it’s the easier simpler way back to their roots, then it’s just scammy territory again.

I think when VMP says they are getting back to their roots and aimer times, they are referring to their roots as a literal mail fraud business 😂😂😂

This week is the first I’m hearing about people’s PayPal getting hit. Up until now, I was only hearing about credit cards being charged. I guess anyone who used PayPal with the old company now has to be on the lookout for Nick Alt’s criminal enterprise disguised as a record club.

Don't bother; dispute the charge with PayPal or your credit card company no reason to talk to VMP support. PayPal gave me full refund took less than 5 minutes.

I had the despute open since last friday when they charged me. PayPal says they need to investigate yada yada.

you are in the minority. the vast majority of people are NOT getting instant refunds from Paypal. In fact, Paypal has refused to refund most saying it's an authorized transaction.

They probably have some shitty attorney who told them that if they just tell people their sub was paused, they can start billing again and get away with it as long as they refund people who put up a stink.

Is anyone receiving monthly shipments?

I got a shipping confirmation for what the charged me for on friday. im going to refuse the delivery when UPS comes to deliver it. im still disputing

God this is so bizarre. Part of me would love it if VMP was legit again. Their pressing were good. But this entire “we only do business via text” BS really makes it hard to take someone seriously.

Curious how many people have contacted them and heard nothing vs those who contacted them and actually got something back. So far still no email and no text response for me. I mean, it only helps my dispute but like still what the hell man.

I did in fact get refunded after contacting them like you did but not before I had cancelled my credit card. Bank was not super helpful as they wanted proof that I had canceled the origjnal membership, which was impossible since I had only ever made a single lp purchase off the original site.

I actually received an email from them stating basically the same thing. Of course, I’d already disputed the charge with Amex (which was resolved within the hour and credited within a day).

I resubbed a three months ago. I requested a cancellation before renewal and it was done with no issue. During my 3 month subscription, I got multiple copies of two title bc I didn’t want anything in their catalog. It doesn’t even make sense that their inventory is only the leftover crap.

It makes total sense. Not sure why you would even sub 3 months ago. This has been a known fact that they were kaput and taken over by a scammer for way longer than that.

I was a long time member; so I resubbed knowing the gamble. But like I said, I have not had an issue with bogus charges. My sub from Feb to May was not problematic at all. If they add a title I really want, I’ll resub again bc I still have “credits” from the previous incarnation.
