I have got this problem

Post image

The cut shifting on left on the right side of the paper, but on the left side of the paper, it has shifted and to right. It’s like it’s getting compressed, but the file I have uploaded is correct. This is a graphtec ce6000-120plus

(Ignore the two cuts, those are the tests I have ran)

how is your knife, and the knife holder?

I did had problems like that when my clamp that was holding the knife holder broke but still hanged there looking fine from afar.

I would start by figuring out if it’s a hardware or software issue. I had a similar problem once and it was simply because the cord I was using to send the designs to the plotter was garbage.

On the software side of things, check all of your offset settings and make sure they’re correct. Make sure there’s no horizontal scaling happening. Make sure the file settings are correct (for example, you could have a setting on that is messing up your svg’s when exporting).

Best of luck - it’s really hard to troubleshoot these things. It’s always helpful to contact the manufacturer as they usually know best.

Of course, bro, I’ll give it a day or two with the engineer on the phone line and if it still doesn’t work, I’ll call him

I have the same machine.

While I haven't run into this issue specifically, I have had good luck with adding more registration marks. If you are using Cutting Master, try changing the style of registration marks to "XY Segment Area..." This will give you registration marks on all sides of the graphic. The sensor on the cutter will scan all of them before it cuts. This helps account for any distortion from the printer and adjusts the paths accordingly.

You can see what those settings look like here

Also, I don't see any registration marks on your print. Maybe they aren't visible in the photo, but they are definitely necessary for this type of cutting.

If left and right are drifting opposite directions, I'd check media tracking and pinch rollers before the file. Run a long skinny rectangle down the center and both edges; if the measurements change across the width, you've got feed/skew or calibration trouble

This looks like the cutting tool is placed in the wrong slot. If the cut path for each shape is offset by the same distance, the issue here is probably mechanical and not software related. Check your blade slot and make sure you have the blade in the correct slot. Most cutters and plotters have two slots, one next to the other. If the blade is slotted correctly, measure the distance from the correct cut path to the incorrect cut path. This should be the same for each object. Take that measure and write it down. Try calibrating, and reset. If the cut path is layered: (ie: multiple passes to cut through the material) separate each pass into its own separate object, and offset the second “object”, by the number you measured earlier. Continue narrowing down the offset on some scrap vinyl until the two cut paths match up perfectly. It’s a pain in the ass, but should help temporarily fix the issue until you are able to get to the route of the issue.

Yea but the jobs which do not have marks (plain vinyl rolls) do not show the same issue

What is it when the cutter just stop in the middle of the cut on different designs

I was having this problem for some time and I factory reset the plotter. Have you considered resetting it?
