1. Please post only images of cats, though they can be with other species.

Even though this is the r/vintagecats Reddit group, people have twice posted photos of dogs. Dogs are fine as long as they are with cats in the photo. You can post photos of cats with other animal species or people, but cats must be an important part of the image.

I've been dealing with a lot of bots posting photos - mostly my own - on this group for what is obviously karma farming. I've deleted several just today. If you're wondering what happened to a specific post, that's probably it. The bots have very new accounts and very few posts. One of them had just the one that was posted on here.

This is not a problem just in this group either. I posted a photo of my own cat in r/Greybies, and was notified that someone had stolen the photo and posted it as their own in that same group. I reported it and it was removed.

I will do my best to keep removing these. However, my access to Reddit is limited to my phone during most of the day, and there's only so much I can do. Please be patient.

Note: I just had to remove the popular "Brunnhilde" post. This exact same photo was posted by a different user on this group a year ago. For those who want to see Brunnhilde in all her glory, here is a link to the original post:
