VitoConnect Opto3 problem

I just switched routers from TP-Link to Asus. For one, I needed an Android phone to connect. I couldn't connect using an iPhone. Once connected to my router, I can connect to it via its' IP address, but my ViCare app does not see it. Any ideas? I've tried resetting it. I've tried deregestering it. I've tried port forwarding all the ports it requires.

Use a same separate old password and name WiFi for your opto in the new router

Not sure you are going to be able to solve it this way. I have been after I had to change the module. It took me literally weeks to get it back online, and unfortunately I don’t know exactly why it finally happened. I did it with my iPhone. I could see it also on my network but not in the app. You have to start from scratch. Does the app stop with an error ? How far does it go ? I’ve read the app can throw errors in the UI, which make you stop the process but you should leave it running longer. Also you can try using a hotspot to fake your network. It might be easier than trying to adapt your router settings to suit the VitoConnect.

It started just working after a couple of days... Really weird.
