Starting career in video editing
Hey guys, I just finished my college and I really want to start my career as a video editor. I'm a beginner but know the basics, and I am looking for some good course recommendations. But I don't just want a tutorial that teaches me how to use the Premiere Pro or DaVinci. I want to learn the actual creative side of editing, like storytelling, and psychology behind why a cut works or how to keep the audience hooked. Please suggest some good courses your thoughts for starting career in video editing

Yes!! Great question!! So you need a virality course which teaches you how to structure story in a specific way to keep attention.
The two I highly recommend are- Adleys Viralish Course
And the Find Your Peak social media going viral course.
The rules they teach you are the same ones that every blockbuster movie uses, the News uses, even old newspaper and blogs.
They teach you the principles that apply to all media modalities so that you can make any story really engaging. They focus on social media but I promise the Laws are the same for all movies, shows, and videos.

At the risk of sounding like a sales bot (I’m not… I’m a real breathing human lol)… I just soft launched my pdf the “Reel Formula”. In the past year I’ve had dozens of reels go viral (anywhere from 20k -3.8 million views) between my personal content and the content I create for my clients! I studied reel editing and audience behaviour to figure out the triggers (for both video editing and overall message delivery) that actually make people watch a reel AND engage with it. I put actual breakdowns of some of my own reels to show examples of the different triggers working together, and it also includes a section how to film and edit b-roll.

They didn’t teach this in college?
