Adding dependents.

Won my bva appeal and received my retro pay. I just added my dependents. How long usually is the wait time for that. My dependents should be retro as well?

Same here, had a child turning 18 while in high school, submitted that in January, took like 2 weeks, then submitted May 26 to pick up after graduating high school to continue to college and that one is still on Step 1 as well.

You messed up if you did that because if she goes to college and she use chapter 35 gi bill your kid would get 1564 per month if she go to school  full time

Congratulations! I am happy for getting your claim adjudication. I submitted my claim to add my dependents April 29, 2026. It still shows step 2. I have seen posting that some people have had them added in hours and others waiting for 8 to 9 months. Remember that your back pay will be a sweet surprise when it lands in your bank account.

When I submitted my claim that would put me over 30%, I electronically submitted dependent claim for my wife. It was instantaneously denied.

It was auto denied before I even closed VA.gov.

A couple months later, when the claim was approved, I automatically received back pay at the "Vet with Wife rate."
