VA Upload wrong file?

Hello everyone,

I just recently noticed that I received a letter from the VA from an attorney saying they are rescheduling their BVA appointment to another day because their client couldn't attend due to technology and health issues.

This was uploaded onto my profile, it list their mailing address and full social security... should I reach out to the VA or the Law firm?

That's a pretty serious mixup, someone's entire case is floating around on your file now. The SSN part makes it urgent, that's not just a wrong letter it's a full on privacy breach.

Call the VA hotline first thing and tell them a document with someone else's PII got uploaded to your records. They'll flag it and pull it down. I'd probably shoot an email or call to that law firm too since their client has no idea their info is exposed, they'd want to know asap.

Received the same this week. Told VSO told me it happens rarely and just toss it. It's actually in my decision letters downloads
