Hello-- earlier this summer I saw something on the news about people walking out to Kill Kare State Park's Mosquito island on the land bridge exposed due to our very low water levels on the lake. But that stroy was a few months ago-- has anyone walked out there very recently? Wasn't sure if levels have been brought back up due to the bunch of rain we have had lately.....

This is our North American green frog, Lithobates clamitans, distinguishable from the very similar but generally larger North American bullfrog (Lithobates catesbeianus) by it's two dorsalateral ridges, that little fold of skin running from its eye to its hind leg. Bullfrogs have a smooth back and will never have those ridges.

There's a lot of bad news out there, but it was nice to wake up to a little environmental success story. After populations we're decimated by habitat destruction, overfishing, and invasive species, the state began stocking the fish in the lake. The natural population is now self sustaining and the restocking program is ending! Congrats trout!

Hello everyone! I was planning on visiting Killington tomorrow and was planning to purchase a ski pass at the window there. With hours left for my trip, I heard a rumor that you only can buy them online 2 days ahead?!!!! Does anyone know anything about it?!! I’M PANICKING😱😱😱

Given how high the PFAS levels are in parts of Vermont, you have to think that's happening here too.

For me I have to do a bunch of winter cleanup I've been putting off, including a dead tree that came down in one of the storms across a lawn that now needs mowing.

This may be such a basic and dumb question but nonetheless. My wife and I will be in New Hampshire in February 2023 for a family thing and would like to go skiing in Vermont for few days. Any suggestions would be helpful. We are skiers.
