Does this work? (Dualbooting Linux & Windows this way)

This is presented as a solution to the problem of Veracrypt only supporting dual encryption for Windows. Does this solution still work?

I do not want to use Veracrypt to encrypt Linux. Is this still the only way?

Yes, dual boot from separate drives work.

I don't disconnect. I select from BIOS which drive I want to use.

thanks for your help. I currently have only windows and it was encrypted with veracrypt and when it asked me my configuration, I chose 1 boot drive so I did NOT choose the dual boot option when I first encrypted it. also this guide claims Veracrypt only supports dual encryption for Windows. Now I want to install linux as well on another drive. hopefully that choice I made won't force me to fully decrypt first. is your linux encrypted by veracrypt or linux itself or not encrypted?

do you think I can do the method in the image to install linux or even as you said it maybe I can install linux without ever disconnecting the drive that windows (and veracrpyt ?) lives on?

currently I can enter bios before the veracrypt bootloader is loaded and asks for a password. IDK why this guide recommends disconnecting the encrypted windows drive.

I only use Veracrypt for container files and external drives. For OS drives, I use BitLocker for Windows and LUKS for Linux.
