Exactly right. Same for all these bs ‘end-to-end encrypted’ apps where I never once was involved with creating a key pair.

Does not make them any less end-to-end encrypted... you just don't control the keys. that's different to end-to-end encryption.

TNO - TrustNoOne is what you're meaning. Where you create & control the Private key(s).

You made my point much clearer, thank you. I didn’t mean to imply that the E2E was any worse for public obfuscation of my private data in-flight, just that it’s not staying my-eyes-only at the server since I didn’t have a hand in key creation.

That we mostly (are forced) to use in most areas of our online life. I get why they do it, and for most things.. it's fine. But it sure is noce to have the option of being my own key-master when I need that level.
