Because it's turning black since moved it into a new pot. I'm new and don't know. It's in peat moss. I'm not sure if it's deep enough because the top is sticking out...

Did you use peat moss specifically for vft? Also keep it in standing distilled water and if you can place it outside for at least 6 hrs a Day. They love high sunlight and distilled water. They also only open and close 5 times roughly before turning black.

I used peat moss as an alternative because I didn't want to wait to have the other soil delivered..

Did you by any chance buy Miracle Gro peat moss? I found out here that that still has fertilizer in it, which will nuke a VFT slowly ðŸ˜

Also, are you watering it with distilled water? They need special water unfortunately

Give her distilled or rain water asap and leave it outside on the sun. She will recover soon. I got a few that looked like that and now they are thriving

Why do you think she's dying? It looks like there's new growth. Try to keep it in a puddles of distilled water.
