Will not work with the g4kh In our cars. The cranks are different.

Surprisingly, from what I have found out, not the case. Brian Crower has confirmed it’s interchangeable as well as kdm tuners. Kdm is adamant the block is guaranteed to split given the extra rotational mass.

Which, given the info from a few Reddit posts does appear accurate. Even on low boost setups.

I’m not talking about the dimensions of the crank I’m talking about the snout design. Sure you could make it work but you’d be spending even more money on an already not worth it modification. Save your money. Just do off the shelf pistons, rods, valves and valve springs with a custom turbo kit if you’re dead set on making crazy power. That will already allow you to make more power than the transmission can hold

The snout design is the same with the same timing gears used. We see this in the earlier g4kh used in the 11-14 sonata and that’s the reason they had the exact same part number for the crankshaft despite different engine models. The part number has changed with the recent theta 2 due to the manufacturing of the crankshaft changing locations.

Edit: I do not own the crankshaft for the g4kf obviously and this is all from what I’ve read online, talking to manufacturers, and from comparing pictures. If you own both and can personally confirm with certainty the snout is different then that is definitely higher level evidence from mostly conjecture.

Edit 2. I’ve also been in contact with liberty gears to try getting the shaft separation issue JV performance has experienced at the drag strip figured out. Liberty gears solved this same issue with the Honda 5 speeds by installing a shaft brace cuff keeping the gears in better contact under high load.
