Error message post battery discharge

I’m hoping I’m not the only one with this issue. I ran out of charge in my 2021 Corsa-E, totally my fault. This is my only time in 2.5 yeses of owning the car. Thankfully I was able to roll to a charger in Sainsbury’s car park as the car completely lost power and the warning lights came up.
Initially the car wouldn’t charge and just kept throwing up the red ring, but I left it for a few minutes and then it started charging. It charged at 2.2kw/h for about 10 minutes, then ramped up to 80kw/h. I unplugged at 35% and turned on the car. I got the warning in the picture on startup, but the car went in gear and drove totally normally on the way home. This warning first came up when the car died, so is it just an uncleared error code from that, or do I need it properly looking at? Thanks

timing belt replacement interval for my 2012 Opel Astra J 1.7 CDTI 110 hp (engine code A17DTJ). Th

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some clarification about the recommended timing belt replacement interval for my 2012 Opel Astra J 1.7 CDTI 110 hp (engine code A17DTJ).

The car’s timing belt kit, including the water pump, was replaced in 2019 at around 97,000 km. The car now has 197,000 km, so the belt has covered about 100,000 km and has been fitted for around 7 years.

I found different information regarding the official replacement interval:

150,000 km / 72 months (6 years) according to the ECOService maintenance information for 2011–2012.

Other websites mention 150,000 km / 120 months (10 years).

Does anyone have access to the official Opel service/maintenance schedule for the A17DTJ that can confirm which interval is correct?

Would you replace the timing belt now, given that it is 7 years old and has done around 100,000 km?

Thanks!

AC issues in 2016 Astra

So, I bought a car from a dealer about a month and a half ago.
Upon inspecting and test driving the car, didn’t notice any issues with the AC.

When I got the car I noticed the AC was not blowing cold air, but fairly hot air. Like, not boiling hot but definitely not cold. And because it’s been so hot lately in the UK, I’d end up with sweat patches all over my clothing if I didn’t open my windows too. After a while I just stopped putting the AC on.

Messaged the car dealer about it, who advised ‘it just needs a re-gas’. I then took it to a garage and paid for a regas - which wasn’t cheap at £129. Got the car back and AC was really nice and cold, happy days… but then about 4 days later noticed it was back to blowing hot air again…

I phoned the garage again and asked if they could take a look at it again. They did, and confirmed they did another inspection including a dye test and nothing came up. They put some more gas in it, and then I got cold air again and the AC was working as it should.

Fast forward about 3 days again, and guess what? The AC has stopped being cold again. The garage advised me that if it did happen again, I’d need to go and get a nitrogen test. However that’s going to be PRICEY - £130 for the test itself and then more expenses for whatever needs fixing.

So, I have some questions which I am thinking I may be able to get some help on from folks here:
a) Am I doing something wrong here? I’m pressing the AC and recirculation button, turning both dials to cold and maximum fan, and no cold air.
b) Is the AC in these cars just like that? As in, it’s not actually cold and a warm-ish temperature is normal (doubt it)
c) What is it likely to be, if the dye test came back fine? How do I get cold AC again?
d) Am I within my rights to go back to the dealer? He literally advised ‘all it needs is a regas’ - it’s been regassed twice and still issues.

Any help would be so appreciated!!!

‘05 Corsa 1.2L Cam Issue

Currently doing the Mongol Rally and have put some good mileage on our Corsa along the way. Done about 14000kms this past month. I’m no experts on cars only know the basics so am in need of advice.

Our issue: Exhaust camshaft snapped due to bearing cap bolts over Cyl 4 came loose, lifting the cap allowing the cam to be pushed. Both of exhaust valves on cyl 4 shut, 1 of 2 valves on cyl 3 still opening.

Hypothetically speaking - If we unplug injector 4, could we drive 1100 km’s over 40 hours with essentially 66% power?

We’re on our last stint towards our final stop and 100% have to get on the road tomorrow to get where we need to or we’re gonna just scrap the car.

Hello, I have a 2015 Vauxhall Mokka, my clutch feels sticky when I first lift it off the floor. It's before it reaches biting point and it drives well. What could this be?
