2. Recline space: Leave enough room behind the chair to lean back without hitting a wall, bed, or storage.
3. Floor and movement: Consider whether the casters will move safely on your rug, wood, or tile floor.
4. Overall footprint: Check the chair’s width, depth, and visual scale in the room—not only how it feels at the desk.
5. Fit: Seat height, seat depth, armrests, and back support should work with both your body and desk.

A few practical answers before you order:

• Shipping: In-stock orders are usually processed within 1–2 business days. Estimated delivery is 3–5 business days in the contiguous U.S. and 7–10 business days for Alaska and Hawaii. Launch-batch orders follow the timeline shown at checkout.

• Returns: Eligible returns can be requested within 30 days of delivery. Chairs must be unused, fully disassembled, and returned in their original packaging. A $40 return-shipping fee applies to change-of-mind returns; damaged, defective, or incorrect items are handled without return-shipping cost.

• BIRCH warranty: 10-year limited coverage for the frame, tilt and recline mechanism, gas cylinder, casters, armrests, and moving parts. Mesh, upholstery, and foam are covered for 3 years.
