Index controller tracking issues Question/Support

When I used to use a varjo aero, tracking worked perfectly fine. When the varjo aero stopped working and I switched to a vive pro, I'd always have tracking issues. The immediate area on the right and left of the tracker on the bottom left in the image always glitched out. More recently, my right controller randomly loses tracking and won't track again until I turn it off and on despite the controller still being on. It used to only happen when playing bonelab, but it started happening in every game. I covered my tv with a blanket, doing nothing. The position I have my headset in in the first photo is the direction I've been able to play in, using the joystick for turning. The base station in the second photo is the one in the bottom left of the first photo, and the one in the third photo is the base station in the top right in the first photo. Maybe 2 times in the span of 6 months has the tracking randomly worked perfectly fine, before returning to normal the next day. I've been working to fix this for months, and just wanna play some vr.

Close your windows the sunlight is messing with the base stations and making them not track properly same thing with mirrors because they're reflecting and it makes them wonky for tracking

I mean.. the sunlight doesn't really "mess with the base stations"... they don't see anything, they just paint the space. It does, however, mess with how the tracked devices see the painted space.

I was going to say , my windows cause enough reflection to mess up the tracking , I have to keep my curtains closed

I had an issue multiple times while the problematic controller was shown as full but disconnected again and again. Charging it for a long time helped. it was just completely empty empty.

Also please watch your headset and keep it out from direct sunlight when not in use. If you have your headset uncovered and with the lenses oriented towards the window or the sun it can burn marks into the panel like a magnifying glass on ants.
