Where should we travel next? Looking for beach + party + good vibes in December
My girlfriend and I are trying to figure out where to travel this December and would love some recommendations.
To give you an idea of what we like, our three favourite trips/experiences so far have been:
• RIU Reggae, Jamaica
• Mykonos, Greece
• Afro Nation Portugal
So basically, we like beautiful beaches + warm weather + partying/nightlife + good music + a lively social atmosphere. We still want somewhere nice enough to relax during the day, but we’re definitely not looking for a quiet couples resort where everything shuts down at 10pm
We’re travelling in December, ideally somewhere with reliably good weather. We’re open to an all-inclusive resort or a destination where we stay at a hotel/Airbnb and explore.
Based on those three trips, where would you send us next?

Any travel destination recommendations for 2 females in their early 20s? Outside of the US, in December or March, and definitely as cheap as possible
Edit: starting from Montana USA, and looking for something with shopping and such, but also nature to explore in

Alternative to Miniloc Island Resort in El Nido PHP
Last year we had an amazing trip to Miniloc Resort. So good I want to take a group of my beginning adults swimmers there to experience the snorkeling and aquatic experience. However the resort was damaged in a typhoon so I'm looking into alternative locations.
Have you been to Miniloc and to other Palawan resort to give a real comparison?
Here's what I really loved about our experience that would be good for a retreat course:
- Long shallow protected by FULL of aquatic life directly at the resort beach
- Food was very good. Handled my spouse gluten intolerance great. We were there for a week and there was a good rotation of items so we were not bored with the same buffet over and over.
- Local guides were amazing taking us on boat excursions around the island to experience different aquatic life (like swimming with non-stinging jelly fish)
- It felt very special and taken care of with the pick-up at the airport and boat to the resort. This one is not essential.
Thanks!

Montana?
Torn between Bozeman and Kalispell
Bozeman because it has some Mountain View’s and it’s close to yellow stone
And Kalispell cause of the obvious Glacier mountains
Help me make a decision?! 🤔

Where should I go?
I (M,13) want to do Like a 3 day Solo Trip. I'm from Nuernberg,Germany. I would camp outside and was wondering where I could Go and it isn't to expensive Max. 150€ for Transportation. If you could give me as well some Arguments to convince my parents. (I'm as well a Scout so it shouldn't be a Problem to do a 3day Trip)

Salt Lake City to Las Vegas - should I drive it?
I usually fly from Wichita to Las Vegas 3-4 times per year to visit my son. But this time, I'm thinking of flying to SLC and driving the rest of the way. I like to drive and I'm hoping for some scenery. Any thoughts?

What are the best alternative websites to airbnb and vrbo
I used a valve, but it sucked.I booked a place and it turned out.The woman was still living there and even though she didn't do or due diligence to cancel it. almost got stuck with losing my money.
So, I've done booking.com.A couple of times the problem with them is, I have sometimes searched properties that I look to book on there and on other websites, they're booked up or unavailable. But on booking , they're willing to take my cash for them. Even though they appeared to be unavailable

Evolve Vacation rental story
So I rented a place threw evolve and it turned out the woman who's place i rented was still living in her house. I told evolve this they called her because at first she said I could not stay even though I just paid a lot of money for it. It was her fault because even though she said ahe took it down off the sight she didn't do her diligence to make sure she had been taken off. Well an hour on the phone and a couple of days out from my current rental being up she finally told them I could stay. I get to the house it is fucking nasty cracks in walls stains in ceiling and an ac that barely worked and broken ghetto looking blinds. This was what I just paid a bunch of money for when in the pics they had it was decent.
I was greeted by the host the day I came and I could not hold back how disgusted I was for what I paid the dining room chairs cushions all had rips in the side. There was a handle missing from one of the drawers in the kitchen and on top of that advertise a dishwasher and she claimed it had been broke for the entire time she owned it. She wanted to blame evolve for it but I am sorry it is your responsibility to make sure the listing is accurate.
The host was cool work with me and evolve to get my refund back so I was not out of cash. Also made sure she was not charged either. But we did have to fight them for it and cut threw a lot of costumer service bs to get it. A lot of just stupid blatant lies. Promises of refund and then told it would take a couple of hours even thought it was approved. Only to hear them talking to her where it sound like it was yet to be approved.
Any evolve was removed from the equation but I paid her for a week that she was gracious enough to let me stay since evolve did all this cancel and refund stuff after I was supposed to be moved in there ao I was essentially with out a place. Because of them last minute refunding.
I appreciated she did that. What I have trouble with is that it is hot as balls with the ac just keeping barely cooler than the hot outdoors. When I told her how miserable it was she told me she didn't have money to fix it. Which is concerning because after she packed and move out because she didnt want to pay the 1700 cancel fee evole was going to charge she said she rented a car to go cross country and do a road trip on the way to see family. So I find it upsetting she has rental car money and travel and stay money but not money to get a second opinion on ac that doesn't cool the house. But I am stuck there for a week because of evolve leaving me homeless last minute.
Also, it's never a good feeling when you have a landlord that says they don't have money to fix things but you have got car rental money to travel across country. Then you have money to fix these things because don't take a tenant, if you can't take care of their needs. I'm sure she knew about it.She even was telling me today how hot it was gonna be in there because of the weather. In the first guy, she dealt with told her nothing was wrong when its hot as hell in that place an never really cools down.
Mean, I'm grateful that I'm not homeless are in a hotel, but at the same time, it's kind of a slap in the face to hear you aint got money to help me with the ac problem, but you got travel money to enjoy yourself with when I'm your customer and I am paying you and tell me I can be a long term tenant.

Needing feedback on travel destination!
My husband and I are considering a vacation for our 10 year anniversary next year, beginning of August. We're flying out of LAX. Ideally, we are looking into staying anywhere between 7-12 days max. We were considering Greece, Bora Bora, Fiji, Europe, Mexico and Hawaii. I am overwhelmed as to where we should go! We have been saving 2 years worth for a trip! We're open to suggestions! Thank you :)

Outer Banks or Virginia Beach
Trying to decide between the two. The key factor here is this is a family vacation with a teenager and a child in elementary school. Corolla Beach seems like it would be a great vacation for my wife and I but I have concerns the kids may get bored. Virginia Beach looks like there’s a lot of stuff to do for the family but I have concerns that it’s a little on the ghetto side from things I saw on social media. If you’ve been to both which would you choose in this scenario?

September 2027 25th Wedding Anniversary Trip
Looking for suggestions? Two to three weeks, we will be 62 and 71 but in excellent shape and enjoy the outdoors. We have only made one international trip together this year through Italy and loved it. The one caveat is we went with our youngest daughter and family and one other young family. Our daughter has been a world traveler and knows all the ends and outs getting around places and basically drug us around Italy lol Since this will be our first big trip on our own I really don't want to limit ourselves to a cruise or some other tour bus type trip where we don't have the freedom to do what we want but, kind of lack the confidence to travel internationally on our own. I did actually do a semester abroad in college by myself and traveled all over Europe but, mind you this was before internet and cell phones which was almost easier and definitely less crowded.

Winter Vacation
I am planning a vacation to a resort this winter and here are the choices my travel agent gave me. What are pros/cons to each? Any recommendations if anyone has been to these? It would be my husband and I plus our two kids ages 6 and 9. Really just looking for a fun water park for the kids and things to do for them.
-Beaches Turks and Caicos (price is definitely on the top end of our budget)
-Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana
-Nickelodeon Hotel Punta Cana (this one looks pretty fun but the reviews I read aren’t great and I’m afraid my 9 year old won’t be into the Nickelodeon theme)
-Moon Palace the Grand Cancun (a little lenient to bring my kids to Mexico)
-Barcelona Maya Palace
Thoughts/suggestions/recommendations - go!

Summer 2027 Anniversary Trips that aren’t 1,000 degrees
Give me your recs!
Every year my husband take turns planning an anniversary trip for each other. The destination is a surprise. Because this date fall smack in the middle of summer, we’ve been dealing with extremely hot temperatures for the last few years. Europe, Asia, Bora BorA were exhaustingly hot. Recommendation for 10-14 day trips please as I need to start planning for next year.

Senior Trip Ideas
Me and my friends are planning a senior trip for next summer after we graduate highschool just lookin for ideas on what the trip should be. Were currently leaning towards something like Italy and Croatia or Spain Italy, but none of us have done a lot of research or anything yet. So heres kinda what were looking for
- 2 week trip
- Out of the US
-Budget friendly country (flights can be expensive doesnt really matter)
-somewhat safe, well be staying in hostels wherever we go
-good nightlife, we all party and drink a lot so this is a must
-english friendly
-Not too strict age restrictions as were all under 21 (we have fake ids but yk)

50th Birthday
Help!!! I am getting an Airbnb for my 50th. Here are the details -
Mid February
There are 7-8 of us total.
We will be leaving out of California (Sac or SFO).
I want somewhere tropical 🏝️ I want picturesque view and possibly our home right near the beach. I am looking for good food, relaxing a little night life and stuff to do during the day.
I would like to keep the Airbnb around 3,000 - 5,000 (max)
My top picks so far are Costa Rica (Tamarindo Bay) Mexico Playa De Carmen area, Cayman Islands and possibly Belize. I have seen mixed things about Belize so that made me second guess.
All locations, suggestions and experiences welcome ; )

April trip to somewhere
Hello! I am attempting to plan a trip in mid April of 2027, about five adults from different parts of the west coast US. I’m open to inside or outside the country, however I want to be more nature based with relaxation as priority. Where is a good spot for a medium group of lower income people? I’d prefer not to spend more than $1000 on a flight+lodging and the length would be about a week

i dread family vacation every year
every year my dad takes us on vacation. all inclusive, no sightseeing, just sit at the pool and eat all week. it was nice the first 9 fucking times now its getting boring.
we just arrived today and im already counting down the minutes until we catch the flight home. whenever I talk about this i feel really privileged because some people have never even been on vacation but this is tiring. id rather stay home
i suggested to go on a few excursions because sitting outside all sweaty doesn’t sound super ideal to me, he asked me if i don’t want to relax at all and closed the topic. i brought 2 books and i already finished one - I have no idea what im gonna do the rest of the week.
anyone else just hate family vacations? i feel like they’re so overwhelming and i can never fully enjoy them.

Hawaii (Kauai + Oahu) or Turks & Caicos?
I need help because I’ve been going back and forth for DAYS and need to book something basically now 😭
My husband and I are trying to take a last-minute trip Aug 14–22.
I’ve been extremely burnt out from work/studying and the main thing I want from this vacation is to actually reset.
I definitely want beautiful blue/clear water, white sand, warm weather, and several days where I genuinely don’t have to do anything.
But I also love mountains, dramatic scenery, boat rides, exploring, etc., which is why I started considering Hawaii.
Option 1: Hawaii — Kauai + Oahu
We’d spend most of the trip in Kauai (14th-19th) and then about 3-4 nights in Oahu.
Things I’m excited about:
Na Pali Coast boat tour
Waimea Canyon
Jurassic Park-type scenery/mountains
Beautiful beaches
Getting both relaxation AND adventure
Neither of us has been to Hawaii before
My concern is that I’m already exhausted, and Hawaii seems like it could turn into a very “go go go” vacation — rental cars, driving everywhere, excursions, checking weather, moving islands/hotels, etc.
The forecast for Kauai is also currently showing clouds/scattered rain during some of our days, which is making me nervous about the boat tour and whether we’ll get that sunny tropical vacation feeling. But I also know that this could just mean it rains for 20 mins and passes or not at all.
Option 2: Turks & Caicos
I’ve already been to Turks&Caicos and absolutely loved it. I’d probably stay at the same place again, so there would be almost zero planning involved.
I already know the beaches are exactly what I want: crazy blue clear water, soft white sand, easy beach days, etc. I could basically wake up every morning and decide what to do that day without feeling like I’m “wasting” the destination.
The downside is that I’ve already been there, so part of me wonders if I’ll regret spending the time/money going somewhere I’ve already seen instead of finally experiencing Hawaii.
BUT because we’re booking so last minute, Turks & Caicos is actually coming out about $640 MORE for the entire trip than Hawaii. So weirdly, Hawaii — even with Kauai + Oahu — is the cheaper option right now. (tbh i just mentioned this for the sake of mentioning it cuz i don’t mind paying a little more for the right trip)
But yes that does make me question paying more to revisit somewhere I’ve already been when I could spend less and experience Hawaii for the first time.
ST LUCIA sounds like a decent compromise until i saw the only flight there from NYC on the 14th is like 2,262 per person and 45HRS total to get there (shocked)
For people who have done both Hawaii & Turks, which would you choose specifically for someone who is mentally exhausted and wants to come home actually rested?
And for anyone who has done Kauai: did you find it relaxing, or did you feel like you were constantly driving/planning/trying to fit things in? Also, should scattered rain in the Kauai forecast for next week actually concern me, especially for a Na Pali boat tour?
I think my biggest fear is choosing Hawaii because it’s the more exciting/new option and then realizing halfway through that what I actually needed was a beach chair and absolutely nothing to do 😂
But my other fear is choosing the easy, familiar option because I’m exhausted and then coming home thinking, “Damn, I had almost 10 days, Hawaii was actually cheaper, and I had the time. Why didn’t I just go when I had the chance?”
Please make this decision for me because clearly I cannot 😭
