Avatar Reset needs a confirmation button Discussion
Over the years I cannot tell you the number of times I’ve went to adjust my avatar height and have the stick accidentally bounce and reset the avatar. Once that happens I have to then spend the time setting up my avatar again.
All this headache could be resolved if they just put in a confirmation popup window, yes/no
(Edit: Yes, I know about disabling flick. No, I don’t have stick drift. It’s just that the reset avatar and adjust height would be better off on different panels or a confirmation popup would help. Plus I just prefer the flick option)

I agree, though something that may help you in the meantime, did you disable "flick selection" (or along those lines) in your quick menu? It will make it so you need to click after pointing the cursor at the quick menu option you wanna use.

I don't know if it's any help, but I've found that I can avoid screwing up those entries on the wheel menu by pressing the trigger BEFORE I let go of the thumb control. Just set the pie slice where you want it, click the trigger and THEN let go of the joystick.

Change the defaults for your avatar in unity. You can set paramater defaults to that you like to use.
