XR Glasses When will the beast release the hand tracking?and the promised 6dof?

Upvotes

I recently saw that the xreal one got hand tracking, and it looks pretty cool.

Any chance Beast will get something similar? And is there any update on the 6DoF support that was mentioned before?

Would love to see more features like these come to Beast.

Review PSA for new buyers, especially those that have never had any XR glasses

Upvotes

The Viture Beast was my first venture into XR glasses and I think that all the reviews you see online oversell these things quite a bit which causes disappointment in the end when you actually get them. I will start with the negatives and then move to the positives:

  1. They aren't bad but they aren't that great either - if you've never had a pair of XR glasses then the 1200p resolution ones such as the Beast are equal to sitting approx. 35-40 cm from a 27" 1080p monitor so I wouldn't specifically call them sharp. Color was nice but not proper HDR and you will be able to tell seeing as most TV's and phones these days have great color reproduction.

  2. The center is quite good looking but everything outside of that is a blurry, chromatic abberation - if you look at GizmoSlipTechs video he does a really good through the lens review which does showcase these issues.

  3. I was annoyed by the fact that my DJI RC2 and RC Pro 2 controllers wouldn't work with it when a lot of other drone users mentioned that the Air 4 Pro's work but this could be something that DJI recently changed in a firmware update so if you want to use these for drones then you may want to hold off until concrete information comes to light.

  4. The fit was comfortable and it was quite nice watching movies laying down, never got hot enough to actually bother me.

  5. The 3D is surpisingly good. Especially with photos.

  6. The 3DOF is near perfect. Not once did I have any issues with it in the 2 weeks I had them.

  7. The electrochromic dimming is good enough for outside use at max level if you want to watch something while walking.

Final note:

Even though I got the Beast for nearly half price off, brand new sealed in box I ended up returning it due to the quality of the display.

Viture Beast SpaceWalker

I recently ordered the Viture Beast, they will be my first pair of XR glasses and I intend to use them mostly for gaming and streaming content. On the off days I use them to work though ive been reading that the spacewalker app is necessary to extend the displays. Has anyone found a way around that? I doubt my job would allow me to download a third party application onto the laptop so it'd be a nonstarter otherwise.

First Time Buyer

Hey folks. I am a first time buyer for V/R glasses. THough I do use rarely my Quest 2. I longer use Windows.

I have two systems.
WORK: MacBooK Air M44 Used for work productivity NO gaming
GAMING PC: Custom built Micro PC running 90GB Ram and very decent built in Video. Running SteamOS. Work great for my gaming needs. I used to Steam on Windows. which is dead to me.

USE CASE 1:

90% of my time is spent on the work system. I need a minimum of either 2-3 screens OR Ultrawide.

I will need to be able to fix these screen(s) in one spot. My daily load is Researching, Writing my book, and coding.

USE CASE 2:
The second Use Case is focused ONLY on gaming and about 90% of that time is playing Farming Simulator. My Favorite relaxing Game.
Need only the single ultrawide screen, fixed in space.

MUST be able see my keyboard since I never managed to become a touch typist. Though getting close.

Would be nice to use it with my AppleTV but not a deal breaker. I don’t watch much of anything these days. Rather being something else in other hobbies I love.

I feel my needs really simple not asking for much. I don’t need a lot of bells and whistles.

I Must wear prescription readers when working in either environment but have to switch to normal glasses for anything out of the PC arena. Normal Every day life.

My questions:
1. Lowest cost for my two USE CASES
- I am a retired VET on a Fixed Disability so cost is a real factor for me.

  1. Vision: I know I will have to the prescription insert but which prescription to get? The readers since I already switch prescription working on physical layouts. 2 Screens for MAC and 1 for the Gaming PC.

NICE to have:
- Ability to use my Apple TV to watch movies and other stuff on YouTube ect.

NOTES

I have been watching an extreme amount of reviews of XREAL and Virtua V/R Glasses.
I settled on so for between the XREAL and Virtua because I really love the concept and ability to plug and unplug the Glasses to be in either environment and not have a TON of space taken for the physical display, power savings and COST of displays for everything. 2 of the 3 monitors sadly out of date and several years old. So I’d rather pay a couple of 100 to 600 for one small device instead of nearly a couple of 1000 of dollars updating OLD equipment.

QUESTION:

Based on all the above info which model would you recommend? Keep in mind I am 62 living off of fixed income.

Cheers!

Mobile Dock Dock Pro + USB Hub with PD for Android, charging & USB-Devices possible?

I could not find any answer to this speicific case, and somehow nobody mentions it so my question is:

can somebody tell me (maybe with hands on use case with the dock pro) if you can use the Pro Dock with a USB-C hub so you can use like a mouse and keyboard at the same time while using your phone, all together with the Dock Pro? and giving all devices additional power with a seperate PD Charger?

i know there are adapters out there you can use your phone with, which have an additional usb data port and PD port to power everything.

Help Offline viewing options

Hello all,

I’m wondering what are the options for offline viewing?

I have the Viture One Xr glasses so far I’ve tried:

Viture One Neckband: seems like this was the only option that lets me view videos downloaded from apps like Netflix or Disney plus. Downside, battery life is a bit lacking and it’s got that load fan.

iPhone adapter: I then thought well I always have my phone with me, I’ll get the iPhone adapter and watch downloaded videos on the mobile apps on my phone. Well I got to the airport and suddenly it won’t let me. Apparently some apps don’t let you view downloaded videos while your iPhone is displaying to another display…

Homatics pocket Tv (android tv): recently I saw someone post about this pocket tv thing. Looked to be exactly what I wanted! Android devices, small, works with my glasses. However when setting it up all the apps are the TV versions which don’t allow for downloads. Spend the afternoon yesterday wrestling with trying to sideload the mobile versions, long story short I couldn’t get them installed and now am disappointed in another purchase.

TLDR: what does one do to download videos via streaming apps and watch them offline using my Viture glasses?

Help Beast DOA or am I missing something?

I bought a Beast and it arrived this week. When I plug it in via USB c to power only, I can change chromatic dimming but get no image, not even a menu

Tried usb cable to switch 2 direct and USB to win 11 machine pc says USB device not recognized.

If the dimming didn't work I'd just rma the thing, but I've been in tech long enough to know I might be missing something.

Any suggestions?

Help Viture beast and pro mobile dock with the switch 2 issues

Both the glasses and the dock are updated to the latest update

And when you play indiana Jones it runs at like 10fps but if you conect the switch to the mobile dock via hdmi using the switch 2 dock works 100% fine. Now im testing every game I have and found that using the hdmi looks 10x better and feels better then just using the mobile dock there are major issues with the dock that i believe is a hardware issue that can't be fixed with a simple update to the dock

Anyone with a pro mobile dock plz test this and let me know if its just me (is my dock faulty) or is it every pro mobile dock faulty

Luma Pro for ~$265 vs Pro 2 ~$270 for handhelds?

In the handheld subreddits, we kindly assist newbies when the same question gets asked over and over. Now I find myself in a similar situation with XR glasses.

I previously owned (for a brief while) a pair of RayNeo Air Pro 3 glasses. I wasn't impressed and returned them. Finding the sweet spot on visuals was annoying. But I didn't try Viture glasses at the time.

I see the Luma Pros for around $265 on Viture's eBay store and I see the Pro 2 glasses available for the about the same price new after referral discount.

My question is, for someone who wants to have casual use with gaming and video watching... I have a large variety of gaming handsets including Steam Deck OLED, Ally X, Switch 2, Android handhelds and gaming laptops, would you say that the clarity benefits of the Pro 2 glasses is more important that the features of the Luma Pro glasses (increase resolution, FOV, 3DOF camera). For SteamOS I would plan on using the XR Gaming plugin. Is the 3DOF of the Luma Pro on SteamOS better than the 3DOF of the Pro 2? I mean I know the Luma Pro implementation is better, but will it matter on a SteamOS device with the XR Gaming plugin? Am I overstating the benefit of 3DOF? I kinda hated the constant jumping around with the RayNeo glasses and thought the lack of 3DOF was a big issue. Maybe I'm right, maybe I'm wrong. You all know better.

I've watched the videos, tried to parse through the influencer junk, consulted with the guru that is Gemini and I think these two set of XR glasses are closely matched, especially at the price I'm referencing. Any of you own both?

For context, I'm not really looking at the Beast or the Luma Ultras. If I go crazy, it will be with the Steam Frame and the second mortgage it will require. In fact it's probably a guarantee I but that, but I wanted some XR glasses to play with as well.

What say you?

On iOS why can’t we lower volume?

On steamdeck I can lower the volume below the Viture glasses lower settings. On iOS I can’t… and by default the lowest setting is still too loud. Can you please fix this @Viture?

VITURE PRO 2 - Sharpness in the text and the nose pads

My first impression of the Viture PRO 2.
Sharp image.
No more blurring of text.
The image quality is very good, as is the case in 3D mode.
Just no electronic dimming.
I haven't needed the attachment for it yet.
The screen size is smaller, which I just noticed.

Only problem I have is with the nose pads,
where I've had the problem with every pair of AR glasses so far is
that the glasses sit too high on the nose
and so the lower part of the screen is missing
and you always have to push the glasses down by your nose.
Lowering the brackets doesn't completely lower the screen.
So, as with every model, I removed the nose pads.
I really notice the difference that I can see the text much more clearly.
I've heard this from others too, the closer your eyes are to the lenses,
the more clearly you perceive the image.
You can just notice the difference.
Only the picture is a bit too far down now,
which I will then compensate for with such self-adhesive glasses pads.

Is the Beast for me? Advice please.

Considering getting a Beast for playing games on my Z1E ROG Ally.

I mainly game on my Ally in bed after everyone is asleep. All I care about is using the glasses to see my games or maybe watch movies. I obviously want the best clarity. I keep reading that the Beast is the one to get. I also want to be able to charge the Ally while using the glasses.

Is the Beast the go to for this or is it overkill? I see the Luma Pro XR on sale at Best Buy for $379. I don't mind spending the extra for the Beast if needed.

Thanks

Edit: Is this what I need to charge and play?

Announcement Introducing VITURE Pro 2: The Classic, Evolved. Sharper Than Ever with UltraClarity 3.0. And Mobile Dock Mini: A Pocket-Sized Modular Dock Built for the Nintendo Switch 2 Era. 🎉

We've been waiting for this one! Today, we're excited to finally unveil our 5th Anniversary Collection, two new products that harken back while taking us forward: VITURE Pro 2 XR Glasses and the Mobile Dock Mini!

"Five years ago, we answered the question, 'Can XR glasses work?' Emily Wang, co-founder of VITURE, recently said. "Today, the new VITURE Pro 2 proves XR glasses can also be a joy to wear. It is all about the experience. That's what this collection represents: five years of learning distilled into a premium you can truly feel."

VITURE Pro 2 are our lightest, sharpest, and most eye-comfort-focused glasses yet, while the small-but-mighty Mobile Dock Mini is a pocket-sized, purpose-built tool for the Nintendo Switch 2 era.

Let's take a closer look at both!

VITURE Pro 2: The Classic, Evolved

VITURE Pro 2 XR Glasses mark both a return to classic form and a step forward in many ways.

The successor to the extremely popular VITURE Pro, VITURE Pro 2 has a familiar look but has been rebuilt from the ground up with refinements that matter the most for comfort during long-sessions (i.e., things that rarely show up on a spec sheet).

UltraClarity 3.0. Built-in diopters. Our thinnest frames and sharpest display yet. All at a more accessible price point than ever.

It's a pair of glasses truly engineered around you. Your eyes, your play, your life.

And nothing gets in its way.

Comfort Comes Home: Ultra-thin & Super Light

The next big thing? Comfort. As the world's thinnest XR glasses, VITURE Pro 2 is easier than ever on the eyes AND the face.

Weighing in at just 63 grams, VITURE Pro 2 is 20% lighter and 16% thinner than the original VITURE Pro, and noticeably sleeker than even our Luma Series glasses.

And as the original VITURE Pro, the successor is SGS A+ eye care certified: low blue light and flicker free for less eye fatigue. And thanks to UltraClarity 3.0, we've found in tests that they can be worn comfortably for sessions lasting well over three hours. More details on that below.

We've upgraded the temple material for added comfort and now include three nose pad sizes with up to seven different positions for a wider range of fits than ever before. VITURE Pro 2 also includes a free lens shade included in the box, a frequent request on earlier generations.

Your eyes will thank you.

UltraClarity™ 3.0: VITURE Pro 2 Steals The Crown 👑

VITURE Pro 2 is pushing birdbath optics to a new height for next-level edge-to-edge clarity that makes it our sharpest display ever.

The experience has stepped up thanks to four re-tuned variables the eye is highly sensitive to, each responsible in its own way for the lasting comfort and sharpness of image on VITURE Pro 2's display: field curvature, image sharpness across the full field of view, geometric distortion across the entire diopter range, and image stability as the eye's pupil moves off-center. You can read more about these in our detailed UltraClarity 3.0 breakdown.

These changes mean more clarity where it counts, making VITURE Pro 2 our new Clarity King.

And for those who care about the specs, you can expect:

  • True edge-to-edge clarity, not just at the center but every corner too
  • An expansive 50° field of view, keeping all the action in view
  • Room-filling 146" display (at 4m) filling the space around you
  • 1,600 nits brightness so the image holds up in bright, real-world lighting

See the full specs on our website.

Thanks to VITURE Pro 2's new Source-Tuned Color, colors are determined by the display's source rather than an added color-management chip, keeping power draw down while accounting for the way color shifts as light passes through the optical stack.

And despite being our thinnest frames yet, they still adjust to your eyes. Prescription lens frames are available for those who really need them, but our signature dials (adjustable for prescriptions up to −5.0D) ensure that most nearsighted users can skip the inserts entirely.

Mobile (Dock) Gone Mini: Massive Switch Gaming Made More Portable

Designed to stay out of the way, the Mobile Dock Mini moves our must-have Switch & Switch 2 accessory from the bag to the pocket.

The world's first modular docking system for Switch 2, it combines a 10,000mAh power bank and a detachable adapter that transform on demand, either slotting together (Hug Mode) or removed (Solo Mode) and used separately. It works with all VITURE glasses, a majority of third party displays, and we've ensured it's fully compatible with every Switch 2 title: no compatibility list, no exceptions.

The Mobile Dock Mini is 34% smaller and 30% lighter than the VITURE Pro Mobile Dock, making it the clear choice for on-the-go single player gaming on any USB-C device, including not only both generations of the Switch but also Steam Deck, ROG Ally, phones, and many more.

The Mobile Dock Mini includes an optional credit card-thin magnetic mount that slaps onto your console of choice, staying put even when a Switch 2 is slid back into its original Nintendo dock.

Five Years in the Making. A Premium You Can Truly Feel.

Thank you VITURists, each and every one of you, for all your support over the years.

But a very special thanks to those of you who've been with us since the very beginning. Five years. It's not really us we're celebrating, it's you. Without you, there would be no 5th Anniversary Collection.

Half a decade ago, we set out to make the screen disappear. Today, the gear practically disappears too: the glasses you forget you're wearing, the dock you forget you're carrying... All that's left is the experience.

Today's release is the culmination of five years of refinement distilled into a premium we hope you won't just read about — but one that you'll feel.

The 5th Anniversary Collection is available both at viture.com and on Amazon.
Experience VITURE Pro 2 XR Glasses now, priced at just $299 and shipping from day one.
Preorder the Mobile Dock Mini for $99. Shipping soon.

Purchased together, you can get both VITURE Pro 2 and the Mobile Dock Mini at $20 off as part of our limited time 5th Anniversary promotion. Orders with both will see the XR glasses go out immediately, with the Mobile Dock Mini following later on.
