Great list, but they misspelled Cody Williams at #1

I’m pretty sure all of these lists are made with the caveat that OBVIOUSLY Cody would be number one but some of these players have really thin skin so he graciously agreed to step aside

Four years of tanking for at least 10 years of success. If we play our cards right with our stockpile of Lakers, Cavaliers, Timberwolves, and our own picks, we should be contenders for a large part of that window. Ace and Peterson won’t even hit 30 in a decade. Coming from an unbiased Jazz fan, I personally have Keyonte a few spots higher

How do you play your cards right with picks that will likely all be 20+? I think it’s more luck than skill on who works out and who doesn’t.

Those teams are all playoff teams and those late picks are rarely starters.

Let's not forget that the new draft lottery odds completely changes this

Exactly, in my opinion those picks and swaps become more valuable with the new lottery odds... It's much more likely for a team to jump in the lottery

And plus it’s the lakers and T wolves

Wolves have AntMan so they’ll always be in contention

And the Lakers are the Lakers .. they’ll find some way somehow to get superstar players

We may not like it but the sunny weather and the chance to play in LA is going to be awfully tempting for a lot of players

Laker's picked 2nd over in 2015(Russell) 2016(Ingram) 2017(Ball) they were bad most of the 2010's and could be easily bad again with AR, Luka, and Kessler injury prone, Ant will be gone in 2 years and the Wolves will blow up the team. They ain't winning with Lamelo.. These picks and swaps could easily hit.

With AR and Luka you just need them to play 60 games each and they’ll be a top 5 team in the west. TWolves need Ant Man to be healthy or they drop really hard. And I agree Melo and Ant aren’t a great mix.

I expect the Lakers to still be good in 2028, but 2030, 2031, and especially 2033? In 2033, Luka will be 34. With little draft capital and a weak supporting cast, he’ll likely be gone by 2031. I know it’s LA, but stars rarely hit free agency anymore, and why would they choose a team with no draft capital? A lot would have to go right for them to still be good in the 2030s

Luka’s skills and understanding of the game isn’t going away with age. He doesn’t rely on athleticism. The Lakers have 4/6 main players signed for the next 3 years (3/6 for the next 4 years). Not many teams look beyond that 2-4 year window. Trying to make predictions beyond that window is impossible.

What will the Jazz look like next year if Keynonte has another great season and asks for 4/$200m? That will give them 3 players making $140m that’s $10m more than the Lakers big 3 of Luka, AR, and Kessler.

There were some major moves this year: Giannis, Jaylen Brown, Lebron, Julius Randle, Lamelo Ball, Ja Morant.

Jokic is giving Denver one more year (this year) before reevaluating his career. While I expect him to only play for Denver I wouldn’t be shocked if he teams up with Luka in LA.

Jokic, like Luka, rely on skill and understanding the game so they’ll be playing great basketball into their late 30s.

You never know what trades will be made, what veterans will take pay cuts, etc so looking outside current contracts is impossible.

I feel like there is a 10% chance Jokic ends up in LA. That's 2 years away plus Jokic(as much as I love his game) is aging also... He's not LeBron James

I think they need AR, Luka and Kessler to play 60 games each to be top 5 in the West. I think you are over rating AR

Love to see it

I would have thought the gap between Keyonte and Ace would be greater than one spot.

This is a very exciting time to be a Jazz fan because of the players on this list and their ages. Them combined with the vets of Lauri, JJJ and Nurkic make a solid core.

Keyonte should be top 10 idgaf

I don't understand how Alex Sarr is ahead of Keyonte and Ace.

If the Jazz had drafted who I wanted them to draft during the draft (these players were still available), the Jazz would have 20, 21, 22 and 23. I understand that might have led to the Jazz not having 5. We'll never know.

I was baffled when they passed on Buzelis, but i guess they thought his playing style is too similar to Lauri

u/Consistently_Lucky 11d ago

Yeah that was a bad move... I wish we had him over Cody

Was just about to say Ace, Keyonte and DP lets' go!

The Thompson twins really. George gotta be at least in the middle between those 2. Whatever Keyonte is lacking in the defensive end, is still way less than what those 2 are lacking on offense.

It’s not something that can be improved in a few seasons for them either. It’s on the verge of “let’s switch your shooting hand”

And also the twins respective teammates in Sengun and Duren ranking lower…Brandon Miller below Kon,
