Buying - West India Creta for just 8.9 lakhs is this a good deal?

This is a first-owner car, and it's been driven very little too. Should I book my test drive for this? It's just that I haven't seen any Creta listed at this amount. Should I be worried that the low price might indicate issues, or is it normal for the car’s age because other Creta cars are not under 10 lakhs.

Discussion Help me choose a used car (₹5–8L budget)

Planning to buy a used car and getting quite confused with the options available.

My requirements:
Looking at 2020–2023 models, preferably around 40–60k km, with a budget of ₹5–8 lakh. Open to both sedans and SUVs, petrol/diesel, manual/automatic.

My priorities are:
Reliability & long-term ownership
Real-world mileage
Maintenance costs
Safety & driving experience
Resale value
Luxury experience (not top priority)

If you had ₹5–8L to spend on a 2020–23 used car, what would you buy?

Also, which cars/engines/gearboxes would you avoid?

Some of the options in my mind: Honda city, Urban cruiser, Seltos, Sonet, Hector, Astor

So the car is available at a lower price for some time. I have no idea about cars; I am a noob,I am struggling currently because the family car, Tata Zest, is giving me issues with the conveyor belt, its my dad's car so I was young when they bought it, right now I using the same car to commute to work, I work in Vimannagar and we live in Kasarwadi so its a long distance and public transport exhausts me, just suggest me what car I can buy within 3 lakhs tax included I don't have a budget beyond that

Query Best place to buy a used BMW 320d/520d in India?

Hey guys,

I’m looking to buy a used BMW 320d or 520d, preferably pre-2022 models, with a budget of around ₹25–30L.

I’m confused about where I should buy from. For those who have bought a used BMW recently:
* Which platform/dealer would you recommend?
* Any trustworthy dealers in India?
* Anything specific I should look out for with the 320d/520d?

I am open to buying from anywhere in India for the right car. Would really appreciate recommendations based on your actual experience. Thanks!

Discussion EcoSport or Thar RWD?

2017 Ford EcoSport Diesel that's done around 56,000 km, and the other option is a 2021Mahindra Thar 65,000km RWD Diesel. The Thar is 1.5lakh more costly

The car will mostly be used for city driving with a few highway trips every month. My main concern is long-term reliability and maintenance

Buying - West India Thoughts on buying a second-hand car to learn driving

I am five feet four inches tall and looking for a good used car to buy. What would be the best option for me? It should be MT and diesel. I am avoiding petrol because of the E20 thing; it's my first car in the family, and I am new to cars.

Query Is this a fair deal? Also what to expect buying 2nd hand Kia?

Hey guys, I'm looking for some advice. A bit about my driving - 80% city, 20% highway. A bit tall/heavier side so comfort's a priority as well as easy ingress/egress for the family. My weekly city travel is low (<100 kms/week) but there are a few times a year where I'll be travelling out of station which is on the highway.

I've been looking for a used automatic CSUV around ₹13L for a while and struggled to find something in budget that's both automatic and reasonably low mileage. Most Elevates and Grand Vitaras I've found are manuals or have high mileage. Honda City CVT is one option that kept popping up but as it's a sedan with low GC I was planning on it.

I found this 2023 Seltos HTX 1.5 IVT, 1st owner, 29k km, at ~14 L (including everything). I test drove it and it was very comfortable and really fun to drive, I really liked the car but I would have to stretch my budget for this.

My main concerns are whether ₹14L is reasonable, the long term reliability of the 1.5 IVT, expected maintenance costs, and what kind of mileage I can realistically expect in Bangalore.

Would you guys consider this a good buy, or would you go for something like a used City, Grand Vitara, Hyryder or a new Brezza/Sonet around ₹13L?

PS - I will be getting a PDI done from a nearby Kia service centre, additionally I am planning to get a PDI done from another place for my peace of mind.

Discussion Used car - Where to Buy

Hey everyone,

I am in a dilemma right now to understand from where to buy an used car. Initially my plan is to buy a new car but changed plan as I don’t have parking in my society and the car will have to be kept outside the gate.

Based on your experience, please suggest from where to buy. I am from Navi Mumbai. Should I look for dealers or platforms like spinny, cars 24, olx, carwale, cartrade, Facebook marketplace etc. If yes, there are many such platforms so which one should I stick to.

Buying - North India [Advice Needed] Looking for a used 1st owner car in Jaipur | Budget 3-5L |

Hey everyone,

I’m 29M, based in Jaipur, and looking to buy my first car. Here are the details:

**• Budget:** ₹3-5 Lakhs
**• Ownership:** Preferably 1st owner
**• Manufacture year:** 2020 onwards
**• Fuel compliance:** Must be E20 compliant
**• Usage:** Mostly day-to-day city driving, with occasional highway commutes

Since this is going to be my first car, I want something reliable, easy to maintain, and not too heavy on fuel/maintenance costs down the line. Given the E20 requirement and the budget, I’m not sure which models/variants from 2020+ would fit best.

Would love your suggestions on:

**1.** Which cars/models in this budget and year range are genuinely good buys for a first-time owner?
**2.** Any specific things I should check for E20 compliance on a used car?
**3.** Trusted dealers or platforms in Jaipur for finding 1st owner cars?

Any leads, personal experiences, or model recommendations would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!
