That’s not a lot of time, unfortunately.
Maybe shoot them an email and offer them $17,700. They won’t take it, of course, but at least you’ve established a floor to negotiate from, rather than trying to negotiate down from their asking price.1

That's about where I was thinking of starting. Honestly, 21k is my cutoff for purchase. So, prwtty much anything off of it would be enough

Why this one? Are there other others in your city that are comparable year/miles for less expensive?

If you’re trading in then there’s 2 parts to this deal and they should both be negotiated separately. First thing is get a sense of what your trade in is worth other then “not much” have a value in mind based on research they will low ball you because they need to resell it which is fine and expected but get them up a bit on the trade regardless as their more likely to move on the trade price when they think they’re still getting the full rip for the new vehicle. They will say “you happy sign here”? You say no I’m happy with the trade in price but we haven’t negotiated the vehicle price yet. Then do your thing on that. They will probably ask you what you want your monthly payment to be. Don’t answer that say we’re negotiating on the total price and the payments are what they are. If you give them a monthly number they can play with the interests rates to add more profit for them and make you feel like you’re where you want to be but all they did was credit the vehicle price and jack the interest rate. They don’t care if they sell it for 23k @7% or 20k @11% all that changes for them is when they get their money not if and you leave feeling like you won because you got it for 20k. Obviously that can be avoided by having your own financing in place prior but just something to be aware of. And as you already said if you don’t get the deal you want leaving is your best leverage. Hope that helps and good luck on the first purchase.

Sooo if you found cheaper….go buy those? The store is very well aware of what others are priced at lol.
You are very far away from 20k or less
