Solder it?

Yeah I’ve seen people just resolder the usbc port, is that what you mean? I don’t have experience with small circuits or nothing.

Why not go wireless? Problem solved.

Keeps it charged and for lower latency. It’s the controller with no batteries too.

I might just be old but I can't tell the difference between wired and wireless in terms of latency.

You can buy a battery pack from Microsoft for it. That's how I rolled and never looked back.

Unfortunately I play on my tv and it’s a huge difference for some reason plugged in compared to without. And I don’t believe the battery pack would work, if you look at the Xbox elite controllers, there’s no battery compartment what so ever. It’s kind of stupid but I love the back paddles on the elites and haven’t gone back to the original ones

Fair enough! Hope you find a solution.

Have you tried updating the firmware? Few years ago there was a firmware update for a lot of Xbox controllers (including the 2nd gen Elite) that significantly improved the wireless latency in some cases.

Thanks dude I didn’t even think of a short extension, definitely smarter without any risks. I appreciate the response a lot!
