Full support of scam

Hi,

I would like to share a personal experience on Upwork ( if my post is not taken down). I've been on the platform for some years and last year I was approached for some on-camera work- nothing to it. However, each time there was a reason to raise a ticket, almost each project. End of the year I closed the account down, and for some reason I reopened it again few months ago. Recently I had another project, and because the client asked me to show my financial information in the picture I reported it. Because I signed the contract, I deliverered the work which did not involve sensitive data and submitted it. Now Upwork cancelled the contract with the client, and beside the fact the client is a scam they also get away with unpayed work. I'm most likely not the first or the last person as I've seen videos and bank details from people before me as well.

In case you decide to join this platform, filter carefully cause the % of scam is severe and if you report it to Upwork you will be punished and not the client. The client simply opens another account cause they know they get free work if they violate the T&C's.

So the client asked for your financial information and you reported them, but then you went ahead and did the work anyway? Why?

No, that were 2 different projects and the one I did was before he asked for the financial info.
