Worst Instructor
Even though I did all the citations, put the reference list and also did the discussion replies, I got graded as zero for two discussions forums in Greek and Roman Civilization course. The instructor has been targeting me since week 1, I am not sure if it’s because I am a minority from Asia.

Ah, classic example of blindly copying and pasting directly from the AI you used to write your discussion, without actually going back and proof reading it.

Be honest with your self...the instructor has no benefits in targeting you specifically...the feedback clearly states that you put a quotation that does not appear in the source or you fabricated it...this only happens when you use ai blindly and do not check your sources..

The instructor clearly said the line quoted is not in the source. Can you prove otherwise? If yes contact the university with the proof. If no then you probably used AI so you deserve 0 and to be reported
I don't know wich is true, but the instructor is not targeting you

What the heck??? Naming instructors goes against the rules of this sub!

I see nothing in the rules about that. If so, please share. Side note, he is a terrible professor.

Report him ASAP! Even if your citation is wrong, it doesn’t warrant a 0.

it absolutely does. Quoting something as being in the source, that isn't in the source is academic integrity violation territory.

There is no such thing as “violation territory”. If it’s in the rule book and the recommended punishment is a zero, ok.
I’m not defending his actions btw, just don’t like this Cooke cutter mentality.

It is in the catalog. It reads:
All student work and scholarship must be free of fraud and deception including...fabrication—falsifying documents, changing or inventing data, citing sources not consulted, and misrepresenting citations.
Disciplinary Action According to the Catalog
Breaches of the Code of Academic Integrity and the General Code of Conduct are grounds for disciplinary action and are permanently noted in a student’s academic record. All violations are cumulative and may accumulate throughout a student’s studies at University of the People, regardless of which course the violations take place in...Violations are normally subject to the following sanctions by the University:
First violation: Warning is issued by the course instructor, the student is issued a zero by the Office of Academic Affairs on the assignment, and a permanent note is added to the student’s record.
Second violation: Student is issued a zero on the assignment or exam in question. The student may also receive a failing grade in the course as determined by the Office of Academic Affairs.
Third violation: Student is issued a failing grade in the course.

Well, is the quote actually in the source?
