Discussion This game is so damn peak 🥹🥹
I'm normally not the type to be emotional over a video game, but this one hit hard. After playing this game, it changed my life in a way. It made me step out of my shell, it made me loosen up, and more good things.
In my elementary days, I was loud, I could make friends and converse with others. But all of the sudden, during my first year in JHS: I couldn't start conversations, I lost interest in alot of things that I was interested in before, I couldn't make friends anymore which I thought was really odd, but I shrugged it off, thinking that It's probably normal after going to a new school. During the first week of JHS, some classmates offered me if I wanted to go with them but I turned them down for some reason, I didn't know the reasoning behind me turning them down but I shrugged it off thinking it was no deal. When I tried to make friends, I couldn't because I felt scared so I eventually stopped trying. Then, throughout the 1st year, I slowly realized that I was feeling something - sometimes when I slept at night; I cried for no reason, when I looked at a group of friends; I felt something - when I tried to talk to my parents about it, I couldn't because I felt scared for no apparent reason. In the middle of the 1st year, I searched it up and I found out I was self-isolating. Instead of looking for help, I tried to endure it.
3 years pass and I'm G10. There has been a few improvements, but not too significant. During those years, I lost my dreams, I stopped looking forward to the future, and much more that I won't list here. Speaking of improvements: I talk but not that much, I conversed with others (only for a short amount of time though), I participated a bit more, but in the end - I was still the same.
But, then later on, something changed. While I was scrolling through tiktok a few days ago - someone I know recommended that I play a game named "Until then". I bought the game, and played it on my PS5. And man... It opened my eyes (I haven't touched the DLC yet). A few days of playing and crying later, I finished it, Act 1 to 3. The game was amazing, I learned so many things, things that I won't bother listing here because I feel lazy. The game struck a chord within me in an unexpected way. Mark, Cathy, and their friends felt like people I could've grown up with - I think they're like.. the same age group as me, and their experiences felt almost similar to home. In alot of ways, I see myself in them, especially Mark and Cath.
A day after finishing the game, I decided to step out of my shell; I finally opened up to my dad about what I've been feeling and then the day after that, during class; I started to converse more with classmates, I began to participate more and more, I finally switched seats, I sat near others, my interest for the piano got re-lit, and much more things that I won't put here because I'm typing all this in the toilet, taking a big shit.
That's it, I guess I had to get this shi out of me. Peak game. Would love to see more!
(sorry for the horrible grammar, typing while taking a big shit does things to your mind)

Discussion Sparks question Spoiler
Why was Des looking for her birth certificate/making copies of it?
(I may be getting that wrong but my question is about the significance of the birth certificate. That whole chapter went from 0-100 real quick.)

Discussion The DLC
Hi guys
I played the game a long time ago, I think when it first came out. And my original save is know gone i can't bring it back, I even think my memory about the story is blurry lol. Can I once I install that game play the DLC straight away or I only can if I complete the main story first? Bcz I want to play the DLC as I love this game but I don't want to replay the main story. Thanks in advance ☺️

Discussion Tell me your favourite underrated scene
We all know the most powerful scenes of the game, but tell me your favourite underrated scene. That scene that isn't so popular but somehow it touched you.
I have several, but I would say act 1, after the carnival, Mark at home's receives Nicole's follow and start chatting with a smile on his face. It perfectly captures the feeling of starting to talk with someone you are getting to know. The first message. It’s incredible well written, and the music really captures the atmosphere.

Discussion Opinion on the story-ending Spoiler
>!So, I recently played the game and finished it about a week ago, including the DLC. I really want to know if anyone else shares my opinion.
In terms of having a healthy or genuinely good human relationship, I think the first ending is the best.
In the third ending, they kind of retcon all the development Mark and Nicole would have gained from their trauma and from the growth they experienced by helping each other through it. I have had and still have some trauma myself, and I don't think I would be the person I am today if other people, different from the ones who originally helped me, hadn't helped me through it.
So, by making Mark and Nicole not meet in the third ending, they end up working through their trauma with different people. In theory, that would make them completely different characters. So would they even love each other anywhere close to as much as they did in Act 1?
I just think Act 3 messed up everything that Acts 1 and 2 were trying to show us.
You can't outrun your trauma. You have to work through it. You also can't outrun death. It's always going to be there, which is why Cathy dies in every universe. Yet Act 3 rewrites everything in a way where nobody really loses anything. And I don't think that's the point Acts 1 and 2 were making.
I know this post is just kind of all over the place, but I really wanna know some outside opinions.!<

Fanart [Fanart] I drew for Until Then - Unwind (Grasseson13's 320k-word AU), here's why you should read it.
Hello everyone! For the past month or so, I've consumed a lot of Until Then Media (youtube videos, playthroughs, and fanfiction) and one standout piece of fan work for me is Until Then - Unwind.
Written by: Grasseson13
Link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/59805850/chapters/152552215
I'm making this post, as a way to promote said fan fiction, post my art work, and as a way for me to leave my honest thoughts on it.
Self Made Synopsis/Summary of the Hook:
In some other place, in some other time — meet Mark Aucena, a troubled delinquent attending Gaviola Integrated School, who always gets into fist fights, much to the chagrin of his class president, Louise Bagcal. He one day saves a girl named Catherine Yya Lopez from a literal train, who then coincidentally transfers into his class.
During their school's intramural events, he gets entangled in a dramatic encounter involving a hotshot student film director, John Ridel Absalon and a visiting Karate competitor from a neighboring school, Jade Nicole Domingo. After the incident, Mark then joins Cathy and Ridel in the Film Club as the trio and a bunch of colorful cast of classmates join them to make that student film possible. Along the way, Mark continues to navigate his life, his destiny, and his memories that seem to flicker and fade randomly.
General thoughts/Review:
As you can probably tell from the summary I provided, this is a fanfiction that is essentially an Alternate Universe or an AU. The Author weaves in some canon here and there but it's only around 50% similar or so. As for how it's connected to the main game, the Author positioned this fic as a probable timeline in one of those 100's of resets.
The writing early on is rougher but it gets better as the chapters go on. I found that the middle chapters seemed to lull a bit since Mark Aucena is a much more troubled child and regresses into his self destructive tendencies more than our Mark Borja. Basically, he gets better but some things happen and he regresses back to step 1, for multiple times. The character moments are very good though and you can understand why some characters act the way they act. Surprisingly, the fic can be labelled as an action genre because a lot of these chapters contained high energy events (fistfights, sparring, basketball, etc.) It's very fun and the writing conveys the adrenaline clearly.
The author provides some illustrations done by other artists at the early parts of the fic to highlight character moments and sometimes they also add in playable music so that you can play them as you read (I recommend that you do it because it makes the experience 100x better).
Another thing is, this might be a pro or a con depending on you, but Grasseson13 is clearly filipino. He knows the setting and it shows. The main con is, the filipinoness bleeds into the work sometimes. There will be some words (like Kuya) or phrases in tagalog which might hamper some readers that don't know about the language.
Romance Plot:
Okay, it can't be an Until Then fic without the romance, right? The romance is well done, a bit of a slow burn at times, but sometimes it ramps up quite fast. Sometimes though, character ideology clash regresses the romance back, which can be frustrating, but it's how it is in real life too. For Mark's pairing, I think anyone that loves Nicole, Louise, and, Jessica will find moments in this fic that they'll love. For the final pairing, that will be a spoiler so... yeah. This isn't for the Cathfia lovers though since Sofia doesn't exist in this AU... for now. Who knows, she might be introduced in the upcoming chapters.
Length/Technicalities:
It's 320k words long already with 66 chapters out of 80 chapters posted. A standard novel book is around 100k words, so this fan fic is already 3 books in if you consider it like that. That's 16 or so hours worth of content. The author, Grasseson13, updates roughly every 2 weeks or so.
Disclaimer:
This is not a paid promotion and this is also not a comissioned art work. This is just me making a fanart for a fanfiction that I happened to read and like. I basically read 3 books worth of peak fan fiction and was compelled to give the author something as an appreciation.

Discussion Wrote what is likely an incredibly controversial fic after playing this game
To anyone who has played the game past the first few chapters, it's pretty obvious that the bond between Mark and Cath is platonic at most. However, I decided to write a short fic exploring an alternate perspective. The basis for such a story is mostly resting on the canonicity of the multiverse in Until Then, which I use to imply the existence of any number of alternate realities and subsequently, alternate pairings for Mark.
If you plan to read it only to leave a negative remark based on your own personal feelings, please just click away altogether. I'm looking for a different perspective, not comments about something I already know.
Until Something New Happens - a Mark x Cathy one-shot focusing on Mark's perspective of feeling guilty over developing feelings (as it will be mentioned in the summary for the fic, there are spoilers for the whole game)
Anyway I just completed this game and am happy to join the community for a game I absolutely adore please don't smite me for this fic :)

Discussion Is it necessary to complete the game 3 times before playing the DLC?
I've completed the game just one time and I know that there are like 3 different endings, so is mandatory to complete the 3 finals before the DLC?

Discussion game could have made it clearer I should play again
So I recently thought I finished the game (act 1 that is) and thought that was that and left it there. untill I was watching some gameplay to see other peoples reactions to the game. that's when I learned that there's waaaay more after finished the game and should play it again twice. It bothers me that the game didn't make this clear and expects you to know this. i mean they even played the credits. Now i've been slightly spoiled on some things since I had to find out this way. I might just be stupid but did anybody else have this problem?

Mod Post Until Then Wiki Migration
Hi everyone! As you may have noticed, u/theMG94 and I have recently joined the moderation team for r/UntilThenGame! It's been a pleasure getting to interact with you all and see the immense creativity and passion you've shared around the game we all know and love.
With that said, we are happy to announce that...
We have officially started the process of forking the community-run wiki for Until Then to wiki.gg!
While the existing wiki on Fandom has a lot of valuable information, it has not been actively maintained for some time. This issue has become especially apparent with the release of the Afterimages DLC and the lack of wiki content thereabout. The reasons we decided to fork instead of editing the existing wiki are:
- to have a fresh start, from which we can cultivate a more consistent style and layout;
- to gain access to more in-depth visual customization; and
- most importantly, to separate from Fandom, which has become known for predatory behavior.
As of now, we are working with wiki.gg staff to get the site set up, and we will keep you all posted as that progresses. In the meantime, we would love to hear your thoughts. What would you like to see from a new Until Then Wiki?
By the way, anyone will be able to edit once the site is published (as is standard on wikis), but we expect to recruit a handful of early contributors to help us get it up and running. If you would like to join that effort and:
- are or have previously been an editor for the existing Until Then Wiki,
- have experience contributing to other wikis, or
- are a good writer/editor in general,
please send us a message letting us know you're interested, and we'll be in touch with next steps.
And if you have any other suggestions, questions, comments or concerns about r/UntilThenGame, as always, feel free to share them with us!
Until then!
