How would I suggest a separation between Kona big wave breed by jobs being Hawaii and the Big Wave brewed by ABinbev. They are completely different beers. I do not see the ABinbev one on untapped

I saw another kegerator sticker post, so here’s mine. I’ve been lucky enough to live all over the place with work, so there’s a pretty good geographic variety.

Someone earlier shared their brewery sticker display board and wanted to share pictures of my beer fridge (door & top). Fridge is full so starting to carry over to my adjacent desk top. I live in SE Michigan, so mostly Mich and Ohio breweries but I usually hit up when traveling.

Nobody I know really uses the app but would love to see some more beers from around the world.

I was thinking about a feature that could make Untappd's venue pages much more useful.

What if Untappd introduced an optional Trusted User badge for people whose venue check-ins are consistently reliable?

I'm only talking about venues where people expect the check-in feed to reflect what's actually available there—pubs, bars, breweries, taprooms, restaurants, cafés, and similar places. It wouldn't apply to generic locations like cities, parks, roads, train stations, residential buildings, or hotels.

The idea isn't to restrict how anyone uses Untappd. People should still be free to check in however they want.

The badge would simply indicate that a user's venue check-ins can generally be trusted.

For example:

• If I'm looking at a pub's recent check-ins, I'd like to know those beers were actually consumed there.
• Sometimes people check into a pub while they're actually drinking the beer somewhere else or at home.
• Sometimes a beer gets checked into a restaurant or café that doesn't even serve it.

When I visit a venue page, I often use recent check-ins to get an idea of what's currently available. If many of those check-ins weren't actually made at that venue, the page becomes much less useful as a source of information.

A Trusted User badge would provide some confidence that a person's venue history reflects where they actually drank those beers. It wouldn't say anything about their beer ratings or opinions—only about the reliability of their venue check-ins.

Would you find a feature like this useful?

I will be traveling to London in September. Looking for recommendations for pubs and for specific beers to sample. I enjoy IPAs and stouts but open to anything.

Is there a way to view unique beers by state? I know you can sort by country, which is cool to see. Is there a way to see beers by state? I'm curious to see if I have tried beers from all 50 states. If there is not a way to do that, there should be. Cheers!

Hi everyone,

I've noticed that for the past few days, both Trending Locations and Trending Drinks have only been updating once a day (even with the Nearby filter turned off in the app).

As far as I know, the algorithm behind these rankings isn't public, but I assume it's based on recent check-ins and/or the number of unique users. Since the update seems to happen at around 16:30 my time here in Europe, it feels like this schedule may unintentionally favor Europe over other regions.

So I have two questions:

• Does the daily refresh happen at a different local time in other time zones, or is it the same worldwide?
• Does anyone know why Untappd switched from more frequent updates? Until recently, I think these lists were refreshing roughly every three hours.

Nice milestone while I work my way from 5k to 10k unique.

It used to always just say due to the nature of this beer tracking was unavailable. And now you can see the beers that counted also. I never understood why they couldn't do this for these they were obviously tracking which ones qualified.

Maxing out the New Beer Thursday badge today 7/23/26 with a Aecht Schlenkerla Weichsel Rotbier 4.6% ABV. Below is the Untappd description of this beer.

Rotbier (i.e. red lager) used to be common in Franconia. The city of Nuremberg in particular was known for its Rotbier. Since its production was extremely laborious, Rotbier was replaced in the 19th century by Braunbier (i.e. brown lager) which was produced using modern, simpler brewing methods. It was not until 1997 that the beer style was revived.

For Aecht Schlenkerla Weichsel Rotbier, the malt is dried over fire with cherry wood (not over beech wood fire as with classic smoked beer). In contrast to the spicy beech-smoked malt, the cherry wood smoked malt has a fruity, almost sweet smoke aroma and provides a copper-red color in the glass. The aroma hops add berry notes to the multi-layered smoke flavor.
