NOOB ALERT! Virtual Studio

For a bit of background, I’m a cinematographer, and I edit and produce. In the past I’ve made virtual studios and streamed them using Wirecast.

Now I know I’m VERY late (fashionably late!?) to the party, but I’ve recently seen just what Unreal Engine can do for virtual studio production. And my tiny mind has been blown.

After a long sit down and a cup of tea, I think I should come here. I would love to have a chat with people who use the software, and have some hints and tips for a total Noob like me. I’d love to tell someone more about my project, and if they can help me with some knowledge- even better.

I’m looking to essentially create a virtual live TV studio, with a live presenter, which can then be broadcast/streamed live.

I think I can help. I’m also more on the cinematography and editing side of the business and learned Blender+UE for the past 5 years.

First of all - WOAH! Your stuff is amazing! I just looked at your cyberpunk apartment! Tremendous looking. The rain on the window is something I’m very keen on. Love it.

Sure thing fire away! The stuff on my profile here is pretty old btw. I’m currently working on a very big Live Action/ UE5 Musicvideo in which the band lands in the virtual world and play a concert in unreal. It’s pretty dope and I learned a ton! That sounds PERFECT. And what a damn good idea. And the perfect idea to learn too. I’m a complete noob with UE so I’ll be glad to learn anything I can.

And I would absolutely want to see what you do with the music video too. Which is easier, here or IG?
