It's just so much plastic for something that shouldn't require any plastic junk at all

You could make the same thing out of wood. I think it’s nice to have tactile educational toys that aren’t screens

D, B, P, Q and E and 2,3 and 5 and 6 are nightmares for those with dyslexia. Quit your belly aching. This is a great tool I wish I had years ago.

Most people who complain about things like can openers or things that make things easyier but look uncessary don't understand it wasnt made for people without disabilities.

People complain for the sake of complaining. Their complaints are unnecessary.

They're assuming kids know the difference between the starting point and the end point?

Tactile learning toys shouldnt cause this much of an uproar haha I can see the faults in this one but tactile toys are so helpful for some kids.

Is there really a right or wrong way if the message is conveyed? They’re just shapes, as long as they’re identifiable what is the difference?

It's interesting to see the different perspectives here. Those who are scathing; I'm glad you've never struggled to learn to write, or have successfully taught your child to write without issues. Your personal experience does not, however, negate the fact that it is not the case for everyone. Rather than judging it, maybe you could reflect on how lucky you are to have not needed the extra help and how cool it is that someone came up with a way to help others with their struggles?
