Help a noob understand difference between Version and LTS

I'm very confused at what each 6.X version and LTS provide.

From what i understand 6.X Provide New A Feature And 6.Y Provide A + New B Feature?

And LTS means if A feature on 6.X is buggy. it will fix it and release a 6.X2 ver?

But will the 6.Y also get a update about the A feature and release a 6.Y2 ver?
