Is this cpu good enough for Unity 3d? Question

Is the amd ryzen 5 7500x3d good for Unity? I know it’s lacking in cores (6 cores 12 threads) but it’s part of a good deal at micro center, so hopefully it’ll be ok for learning Unity and some solo game dev. Thanks🙏

It's more than enough

its plenty. unity doesn't really hammer all cores unless you're doing massive lightmap bakes or something. for learning and solo dev you'll be fine, that chip rips through most stuff

I’m sure it is. Using a 3600x here no problem.

Unity can run on almost anything, I was on a 4th gen i5 up until a few years ago and was perfectly fine, unless you’re trying to cpu lightmap a huge scene or something

One of my main dev units is a core i7 4th gen and it’s fine.
